Well DR is livid with them but he's only himself to blame today !! Heads will roll this next transfer window mark my words I'm sure he singled out the the obvious players for the door! it will be just the question of who he can get in because it is a bargain bucket at lidl this transfer window coming it really is the dregs of the barrell unless you've got more than 20 million to spend in the championship!

Flopping us, as if, Potts scores from six yards we go two up and we are not losing or drawing that game, but when one like that is missed you know the opposition will score sooner rather than later.
Still trying to figure out what the dropped ball was for, by the way the lack of Bannan makes you a less effective team.
Good news we get to do it again in three weeks time

That miss was bizarre!! It was the opposite end for me so couldn’t figure out how he missed it!! You are right though, you needed to kill that game in the first half but didn’t!!

The drop ball was because the ball hit a water bottle that was on the pitch.

Beadle put him off big style

It really was a bizarre miss by Potts. Especially when he'd taken the extra touch to control the ball I expected him to bang it in easy.
2-0 would have been game over as Wednesday were awful today. The penalty miss summed that up. As expected it was a scrappy affair but Preston were the better team.

I keep saying we're far too one dimensional. We rely on Bannan far too much to dictate the flow and make the decisions.
No leadership or playmakers with the ability to see or make the decisive pass. Not to mention Barry runs his little legs off and helps the clowns in defence, they missed him today.
Our passing and ball control continues to be an ongoing problem.
Palmer in midfield was a mystery to me,he looked out of his depth and often fell deep inviting the 5 man midfield of Preston up the pitch.

On to Blackburn, Tuesday night at home and we've shown the league that all you need to do is mark Barry out of the game and we're like headless chickens.

I'd get ithiekwe back straight away he's the only expiernced head at the back and ingleson is screaming out to be played in a midfield 3 with bannan then it's a shit show upfront it really is ..when Smith is our most consistent player with all the attributes of a league 1 player ffs !!! Windass is screaming for another stint on the bench and the rest well it's like who's best of these spastics !? Cadz should never have been loaned out and Dr wants to loan out McNeil ? It seems training and stats are getting in the way of who can actually do this shit come game time !

Ingelsson, Bannan and Charles.
Musaba and Gassama starting together can be a nightmare, it can pay off with quick counters but both squander possession far too much.

Valery just isn't a natural defender is he?

RE: The Owls v Preston SBC Match Thread - Statesideowl - 09-12-2024

So, can we do ot at home against Blackburn on a Tuesday night?

Probably not based on the last few performances. We've rode our luck with these results taking a win from Derby and a draw from Preston when we should've really drawn and lost.
I think we all know which areas need to improve. It's old hat now, isn't it?

Incredible to only be a few points outside the playoffs despite the standard of football we play.
If you were to factor in the extra few points robbed from the Luton and QPR games we'd be knocking on the door of playoff spot for Xmas.

It really is a bizarre league at times.
