RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 August) - devwakey - 09-08-2017 Is Deeney seen as a better player than Rondon? I honestly dont have a good or bad opinion on Deeney RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 August) - Borders Baggie - 09-08-2017 (09-08-2017, 16:25)devwakey Wrote: Is Deeney seen as a better player than Rondon? I honestly dont have a good or bad opinion on Deeney Would be far from my choice as striker but been linked with him so many times before. I'd say he's more accustomed to the premier league than Rondon. Whether he is better or not is up for debate. RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 August) - Worldclassalbion - 09-08-2017 Another day passes, not even any lazy journalism BS to poo poo. Nothing! Would another striker be on our list of priorities? possibly ![]() ![]() RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 August) - SomersetBaggie - 09-08-2017 (09-08-2017, 17:40)Salopbaggie Wrote:(09-08-2017, 16:22)Borders Baggie Wrote: Burnley accept offer for Andre Gray from Watford. More likely to be Musa on loan. Birmingham Mail are suggesting 'Megson's five' are Ben Gibson Marc Wilson Gareth Barry Joe Ledley Musa RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 August) - Beefy 1965 - 09-08-2017 Marc Wilson Gareth Barry Joe Ledley Really if those three happened we may as well just give up. Can't see it we already have 2 DM Why would we have another 2 ? 5 signings to be excited about GM said there's three that are not !! Bham mails list is different to that of the Express and Stars who say we are not interested in Musa !! Our local papers haven't a clue to be honest, Not saying they haven't a inkling and may get a couple right, but all those names have been mentioned even by us on here already !! But if all 3 of those came along ............... >>>> This is what happens when you Fook about especially when you know West ham are always watching our targets This sums it all up really !!!!!! Sky Sports Football @SkySportsFooty West Ham prepare £25m bid for midfielder William Carvalho RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 August) - Salopbaggie - 09-08-2017 (09-08-2017, 20:42)Beefy 1965 Wrote: Who's to say Carvalho isn't one of the five and we gazump the Sham for a change ![]() RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 August) - wba1978 - 10-08-2017 I know Carvalhos' got a good reputation, but I watched him play in the Confederations Cup and he wasn't very mobile. He is probably a better passer than Yacob, but as far as tackling and positioning I think he was inferior. I feel he could be overpriced. I think someone like Sam Clucas would add a far greater level of dynamism and could be available for around 10 mil. Just my opinion of course, but I wonder why a top club hasn't come in for Carvalho if he was truly that good? ![]() RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 August) - BaggieSteve - 10-08-2017 (09-08-2017, 19:26)SomersetBaggie Wrote:(09-08-2017, 17:40)Salopbaggie Wrote:(09-08-2017, 16:22)Borders Baggie Wrote: Burnley accept offer for Andre Gray from Watford. Like everyone else on this forum, it's hard to distinguish likely signings from desirable, risible and fantasy. I suppose we'll only get the true picture on 1st September. However, the above five names have been kicked around for a while now and, if it is an accurate list, then I think it shows a disturbing lack of ambition for a club that is about to start its 8th (?) consecutive season in the Premier League. Despite this decent run in the PL, we seem to be approaching the season on the basis of "our sole aim is not to get relegated" as opposed to "we should now be seriously targeting a top 7/8 position". The names on this list, with the exception of Gibson, indicate the former objective, not the latter. I think all of us hoped that acquiring new owners would signal a greater level of ambition, looks like we're going to be disappointed RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 August) - Worldclassalbion - 10-08-2017 (09-08-2017, 22:01)Salopbaggie Wrote:(09-08-2017, 20:42)Beefy 1965 Wrote: Salop I think we'd struggle to Gazump Walsall at the minute. |
