RE: Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation - Dingle-Dingle - 14-03-2019

Slavisa Jokanovic is yet to hear from West Brom about the vacant managerial position. No formal talks are thought to have taken place. (Mirror)

Strange when others report talks are on going Huh
Well this is crazy, anyway no manager incoming is imminent Doh

#wbafc won’t have a new manager in place for #brentford on Saturday, I understand. But Jokanovic and Neil still primary candidates. Board deciding who is best for role, with uncertainty of whether it will be Championship or Prem Lg next season.

The longer we leave the appointment the more likely it will be the championship ..... need a new manager to manage this squad with a strong hand, iron fist, a new babyliss, organization.

"..... Board deciding who is best for role, with uncertainty of whether it will be Championship or Prem Lg next season"?!!

Really? Well, maybe this appointment, and the speed of it, may just have a bearing on that!

With all due respects given were we are in the table Neil may think he has a better chance of taking us up rather than go to Albion and take on a job which would be no walk in the park and at the mercy of overseas owners

A complete nobody and non-starter IMHO.
(With all due respect to PNE fans - Alex Neil might be good for the Preston goose but not a good fit for the Albion gander.)

RE: Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation - Suffolk Baggie - 15-03-2019

Don't post a lot but thought I would take the plunge. In over sixty years of supporting my beloved baggies the decision last weekend has to be one of the most crazy. Whilst I do understand DM was out of his depth and I really hope it has not tarnished his career bless him, but to dissmis him with no one lined up is just plain ridiculous especially in our position. Surely Jenkins should have been doing some work over the last few weeks. Not professional or ethical I know to work behind DMs back, but that's is football these days. Is Jenkins so naive /arrogant to think he could just pick up the phone and think a decent manager would just be there on Monday morning. Why oh why did he waste 3 days or whatever in China to discuss a list of potentials with the owner who would not know any of the names from Adam, Li probably thinks McInnes is a Scottish takeaway. If Shan wins the next couple of matches I fear he will be there till the end of the season or beyond knowing Jenkins, JP where are you?

You've hit the nail on the head there, Suffolk. I'm beginning to wonder whether the invitation to China was to "discuss Jenkins' future".

We can live in hope. He probably took the Barclay's Jan loan over in a large suitcase. He is the worst of the, worst, must have a price on his head by now.

Apologies first thing first
