Game changed when we moved to a back 4.

Make no bones about it, if we persist with 3 at the back it will cost us. We have ridden our luck with it so far, but the squad could be so much more positive without 3 statues at the back.

Barry and Hoolahan both played well when they came on. Barry especially.

Barnes had a poor game up until the goal, but he's always capable of the brilliant. Just hope we can keep hold of him in January. Hopefully player power has it's say, as he must be enjoying his football at the moment.

and this may sound like sour grapes Angry because it is Whistle but fme youre dogshit ! and you can forget automatic promotion on that showing .. the easiest game weve had for the last 2 seasons at home .. if a ref had been on the park it would have been even easier !!

premiership fairy wankers Thumb up

good luck with that Angry

Great to see that comeback at the end and an absolute worldie from Barnes, shame it was neccessary to get us back into the game. For most the game the defence was constantly giving the ball away in stupid positions and the midfield was just pointless. Still the game ended on an up so we can look forward to the next one and be happy with a good point in the end.

Poor performance, Mears not up to the job. Brunt got his first non set piece assist since whenever, maybe he should use his right foot more often, masked a poor performance from both him and Livermore in the centre, settled a bit when Barry came on.

Barnes shows that even when he's quiet he has the ability to get something from nothing as he did with his cracking second.

Good point when we deserved very little.

Yep still baffled by the subs, they suggested he had given up on the game and I do not think it was his tactical brilliance that got us that point in all honesty.

We are not managers but how many times and we can see it. We have defensively crap players that can't play 3 at the back away from home, how many times do we say the midfield of Livermore and Brunt doesn't work?
I just wonder because if it's as simple as that we would have been clear at the top by now with not so many goals conceded,
Big Dave is really baffling me Huh

Imre Varadi thanks for those wise words, I trust you won't bother with any more gutter posts until we play you again later in the season. But feel free not to bother, I don't think I've ever read such a load of tripe. If we're your easiest game it don't bode too well for the rest of your season Doh

Oh and another 5 minutes and we'd have come away with all 3 points Laugh

The ref already gave you 7 minutes, surely you didn’t want another 5 as well!!!! Whistle

It was the first 85 that worried me mate, Big Grin but god knows where those 7 minutes came from, maybe the ref had some money on 5 goals or more Thumb up

Good points ..... we didn't lose ....... we're still in transition and personnel will change come January. We're still right in the mix, one point separating the top four ......

As Van Morrison said "momma told me there'd be games like this"

Bad points ...... Big Dave is a bit slow on the up take ...... away from home this doesn't work, definition of a lunatic " doing the same things over and over again and expecting a different outcome"

Remember the Colchester game, we were fighting for promotion (successfully) they were fighting relegation, if I remember correctly in the latter stages of the season, at the shrine, Colchester race into a two goal lead before we wake up and show our class ..... go in at the break 2 - 2, great we'll kick on and win comfortably, no, not your nelly, Colchester score, 2 - 3 and hold on for the ninety minutes, into stoppage time Albion score twice finishes 4 - 3 ....... another year, home to palace , 90 mins on the clock score, 0 - 1, stoppage time Albion score twice 2 - 1 ...... great three points ...... nope, not the Albion way, palace still manage to score again ... finishes 2 - 2.

I am beginning to think those stories will be repeated over and over again during 2018/19 ..... as long as we finish with twenty-three teams below us .... then bring it on ....... we have been crying out to be entertained, well here it is.

RE: WBA vs Preston & Sheff Wed - St Charles Owl - 04-10-2018

I was astounded when he put 7 mins up. You made all three subs at the same time so that cuts it down and there was only one stoppage for injury that I could remember plus the two subs we made, no way that added up to 7 mins. By that time I was expecting the worst but in the end both sides had chances to win it!!

The turning point for me wasn’t your subs, it was ours, we took Nuhiu off and replaced him with the wrong forward, we should have brought on Fletcher who would have done the same job that Nuhiu had done all game. Secondly when Onomah went off we needed more steel in midfield, not a 19 year old kid who is still a bit lightweight. We should have brought on Thorniley, a CH and pushed Hector into midfield to protect the back 3. As a consequence we gave up possession to you and lost that bite we had in midfield all game up until then. Of course hindsight is wonderful, but that miss by Forestieri when he stole the ball of Hegazi (?) in your box and pushed it wide when it seemed easier to score, that would have made it 3-0 and I don’t think you would have come back from that.
