Well that was a shit first half.
Defensively we are disjointed. The midfield is trying to press whilst the defence is sitting deep and that is leaving space between the two banks that Carvalho and Dias have exploited it numerous times. If Big Dave wants to continue this way defensively then he needs to drop Morrison back to a left centre midfield role, push Livermore a little bit forward to right centre midfield and then play Brunt in a central deep role behind the two banks of four. Then if the midfield four presses whilst the defensive four stays deep, Brunt is in the space in between to stop Forest playing a quick turnover and exploiting the space.
Going forward we should keep it as the 4231 but play with Phillips and Barnes wider and use the width to our advantage like we were doing towards the end of the half.

Problem as I see it we have 11 individuals all trying to play a game together, rather than a team trying to play the game together. Such a disappointing first half, teams should be quaking with fear at the thought of playing a team just relegated from the Prem, if you showed this game to someone who did not know the teams they would think it was Forest who had just been relegated. Hopefully the team will gel after a few games and learn the way each other play, if they do not do it quickly though, I fear for the future.

Why did our two CB's try to take the shirts off the Forest attackers from that Corner surly Big Dave should rollock them both for that ,
Should have been a penalty twice over !!
Our RB looks a lot better than Nyom, I know he made a mistake but has stopped a lot down that side..
Oh and a message to the board look at our Bench and apart from Gayle who on that bench can change the game ??
