RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - 4evaabaggie - 09-09-2017 Putting on my devil's advocate head on ...... We're often rough after an international break, we had more? players away playing twice (weak I know, clutching at those straws) with their countries. Can not think of any more lame excuses to quote ..... Really hoped Rondon would be a hit for us now starting to doubt if he will make the grade ...... needs dropping and Jay Rod going up top, HRK should be in the hole behind. LB at LB .... that means Gibbs RB at RB .... Nom Phillips / Burke on the wings Pole in the hole shielding the defence and a box to box midfielder. Best squad for a while, tp needs to play with style. RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - Beefy 1965 - 09-09-2017 Was probably on the cards anyway........ It's Brighton so no surprise we're getting fucked in the arse ![]() RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - 4evaabaggie - 09-09-2017 Problem is they kept getting in round the back ............ RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - Beefy 1965 - 09-09-2017 Round the back and in the hole ![]() RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - 4evaabaggie - 09-09-2017 Kept banging their balls in and we just couldn't handle them. RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - Zinman - 09-09-2017 I need cheering up......off to a Vile site for a bit to do a bit of lurking. For ****'s sake. ![]() Probably like most of us on this site, I can't stand Mark Hughes; he's a moaning, whingeing bloke who never admits that he or his team were beaten by a better side. It's always someone else's fault. However, I've just watched Stoke play Manure, top of the table and the form team of the moment who have been scoring for fun and conceding bugger all. Hughes set up his Stoke team with pace, midfield creativity, a clear willingness to attack, a desire to win and a centre forward who happens to know how to score. It was a really good 2-2 draw that did not flatter Stoke at all. Contrast that with events in Brighton today. We play a team who haven't scored ever and, whilst undoubtedly enthusiastic, will be a wee bit low on confidence. So, do we decide to take the Mark Hughes approach, select a team to create and win? Do we heck! We pick a team that is, frankly, boring and defensive. We get what we deserve. Right now- and it pains me to say this - the Stoke fans are right in taking the p*ss out of us and our manager. As much as I dislike him, I'd rather have Hughes managing the Albion than I would Pulis right now. Next up is West Ham, another team desperately low on confidence and with a manager looking at his P45. Do any of us on this site think that Pulis will see this as an opportunity to rectify the pathetic team selection of today or are looking at another repeat? I'm not confident we'll see much difference. I hope to be proved wrong but I'm not holding my breath. RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - BaggieMan - 09-09-2017 On train from Euston to MACCLESFIELD after watching Jimmy and England whup West indies which was a great day until I saw the Baggies score grrrr ![]() RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - Sir Megson - 09-09-2017 Just back in after the journey back on the coach plus a detour for a curry and a pint to drown my sorrows! Not a lot to add as I'd just be echoing some of the stuff that's already been said - frustrating to see such a poor performance but not going to get too down about it. We've been due a shit game and hopefully this gets it out of the system. On paper we should really have got the 3 points today, but that wouldn't of been the Albion way of doing things at all! RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - Arcane Astral Aeons - 09-09-2017 i wont mince my words on this one xxxx awful against a side that had not scored this season so what do we do?....... tactically a effing shambles bloody side looked like they hadnt got a clue nothing up front midfield looked like they didnt know what a effing ball looked like and lo and behold we started to play when 3-0 down never actually said this before but our manager aint got a fooking clue yeah defend defend defend try and nick one on the break well fook you pulis it dont bloody work we deserve better than the shite your turning us into and to the fans that travelled today and had to witness that crap i salute you oh and finally Mr Muppet needs to go effing rant over |
