While that obviously isn't an issue to us on here, it maybe could explain why the number of regular posters has dropped from around 80 to about 15 since the 606 days. I remember when Smudge did the prediction league, there being over 50 players.

On the Wednesday Forum on Facebook, there are over 3000 members (including SuperChris57 & GassyOwl) and over 250 posting every week.

Just a few thoughts if you want to increase numbers. On the other hand, we can keep it to us 15 but numbers will probably drop soon due to several members being cemetery side of 50.

Rolleyes

The Facebook forum is full of scrotes.

Of course there are idiots who just insult other posters on there with over 3000 members but there are quite a few astute & thoughtful posters who make interesting contributions.

The problem with it is that you have to wade through all the shit to find the decent posters.

That is true but the new Forum is so much better because it is actively managed and the morons are kicked out.

I find the Facebook forum fine, your always going to get a few idiots but they are dealt with quickly.

You can change it in user CP settings, it was annoying me as well

No worry, consilio. I'm here. A "decent poster."

And MS can't you find anything better to do on Sep 8, 2014?

RE: Suggestions for changes to the forum - St Charles Owl - 08-09-2014

Just to update everyone. The site has been up and running for just a couple of weeks and already a lot of things have been added and changed. Nothing has so far been ruled out from the suggestions that have been made but these things take a bit of time to complete. The priority at the moment is the add-on for the mobile site, this is a fairly major task but one that needs to be done right first time. While this is ongoing "lesser" improvement such as new smilies will take a bit longer than normal. Please be patient while admin sorts through the various improvements and rest assured that posting the need for a <doh> smiley is on the list and will arrive in time, there is no need to keep asking for it!!!
