The EFL have written to the club asking for their observations. Feel free to use my earlier post chaps if it helps Thumb up

It's all a load of old bollox

While I agree its a load of bollox, be careful using Ipswich as the example!! They fielded a weakened side against Rotherham the game before ours, making 9 changes to their usual line-up. For our game they reverted back to their stronger side, which meant making 9 changes as you say but the changes were to bring their first team players back into the starting 11.

So they fielded a weakened team against Rotherham. Nothing in the rules about who it's played against or what's at stake.

The rule should apply to every club if they're going to enforce it

Yes, and you are right, either you can make 9 changes or you can't. The opposition nor their circumstances should come into the equation.

If they're going to enforce this vaguely made up rule, they're going to have to set it in stone like the crazy rule they have for team changes in the Checkatrade Trophy. Until they do, Town have no case to answer.

If they are saying that you have to play your 'best' 11, then they would have to enforce at the beginning of the season, that you name those 11, and stipulate that only in extreme situations you would be able to use any of the remaining senior pros in your squad. What a bunch of...........**** !!! Been discussed on radio. And apart from Blackburn and Forest fans, the consensus of opinion seems to be, we did nothing wrong !!!

Forest fan said on twitter, they did exactly the same thing last time they got to play offs.
Hypocrites.

They're only complaining because they think its impacting on their shite season. Notice how the mid table clubs are saying nothing
