That very very fine line between success and failure aries, we could have lost by 5 today while we could also have, with the right pass, won by 3.

The fact Everton had 34 shots will look like Fozzie should have been MOM, when the truth is he made 3 or 4 comfortable saves, the post saved us another couple but it was the men in front of him who won it for us today, the back 4 were superb, but bloody hell that was a long 80 odd minutes after we'd scored.

Ironic that the 2 who stood out today are 2 who I've doubted their selection in the past few weeks. Yacob was everywhere today and reminded me of the Claudio of a couple of years back, while Olsson was simply superb today, he's been here a while but I honestly don't think I've seen him have a better game. Yes he can't pass for toffee but blimey he rolled back a few years today with that centre half display.

Huh Big Grin Big Grin

How else could it be described, absolutely spot on commentary on the game for once.

While a very welcome 3 points, the only positive from today is another showing of a good defence, or did I miss something.

Tremendous from Yacob and Olsson today, brilliant performance in general, most I've enjoyed a game in a long time.

Great result and I agree with TP. It's not our job to be entertains and cone second in every game. We need to win games and find ways of doing it when competing against squads with much more skill and flair - bought with bigger budgets b

So long as our players are trying I am happy to be the underdog and cause upset or surprises. Today the lads did all that you can expect and I am proud of them.

Martinez and his morning take take a running jump

Agree totally but !
Against the better teams we do a TP job on them, defend like our lives depend on it and see what we can get. Add a couple of pacey wingers and we can hit teams in the break.
Problem is when TP still thinks the villa are a better team it worries me.
FFS let's have a go at the shit teams... Get a decent LW in and either Sess or Mcmanamen when fit at RW and we should be ok.
