There was, and still is, no mechanism in place to do so. Your inability to understand a simple tenet renders your opinion pointless. You're really testing the boundaries of 'bell-end' tonight. Relegate..verb. To remove someone or something to a lower or less important position. Unless you know better than the piffling irrelevant, no-ones-ever-heard-of-before Oxford English Dictionary. Sounds as though it means aboot The same RE: Fixtures, Season 2015-2016 - St Charles Owl - 26-06-2015 (26-06-2015, 13:27)Trusevich Wrote: I'll take the word of the Oxford English Dictionary, thanks very much. You know, they're the people that matter. And they're not American. Hold on a cotton picking second!!! What's it got to do with my neighbours and friends the Americans?? There is no way "we" could ever take part in this conversation, we don't need to have this argument over these definitions as we just simply removed relegation/demotion from all major professional sports anyway!!!! ![]() ![]() RE: Fixtures, Season 2015-2016 - El Car - 26-06-2015 (26-06-2015, 21:18)Fredstersafool Wrote: And they voted to relegate rangers to the bottom tier How could they vote to relegate them within a league they hadn't previously been part of? RE: Fixtures, Season 2015-2016 - Fredstersafool - 26-06-2015 So are you saying that Rangers are not the same club that was in the Premiership??because you have argued til yer blue in the face they are. RE: Fixtures, Season 2015-2016 - TheWorthinGer - 26-06-2015 No one said any such thing. That your ignorance taking over. I suggest you have a we look in the records of the SFL were you will find that their member clubs voted to ACCEPT Rangers into their third tier. They had already fulfilled their contractual obligation to accept the RELEGATED club from the SPL into their top tier. Because there was no mechanism for relegating Rangers they were left without a league to play in and had to apply for membership of the SFL. No relegation. You are unable to accept a simple truth: Rangers were excluded from the SPL and joined the SFL - not as a new club, but as a new member. RE: Fixtures, Season 2015-2016 - Fredstersafool - 26-06-2015 That's not what El Car is saying and you know it Worth,he clearly says that they hadn't previously been part of the league so therefore they couldn't have existed, what's it to be new club or same club, make yer mind up. RE: Fixtures, Season 2015-2016 - El Car - 27-06-2015 We weren't part of the SFL before. We were part of the SPL. The two were separate organisations. Going from one to the other doesn't make a club new. Unless of course you're saying Hearts has only existed since the creation of the SPL. RE: Fixtures, Season 2015-2016 - TheWorthinGer - 27-06-2015 You are dense to the point of 130+ on the periodic table. He is trying to make you understand exactly that: Rangers were not members of the SFL UNTIL they were ACCEPTED into the league at the 3rd tier. It is not possible for Rangers to be relegated by a league they were not part of. You do know that the SPL and SFL were two separate entities? No team was a member of both simultaneously and they had a relegation contract that allowed for the bottom team in the SPL and the top team in the SFL that met the SPL qualifying criteria to exchange places. RE: Fixtures, Season 2015-2016 - Fredstersafool - 27-06-2015 Ah right I misunderstood that El Car,but rangers were relegated from the Spl |
