RE: The Summer Friendlies Thread 2015 - SomersetBaggie - 18-07-2015 What rubbish, we need massive changes. I know it is only a preseason friendly but we are a very poor second best all over the pitch to a low standard U.S team. Just about got the win but a very poor performance. TP has a lot of work to do in the next couple of weeks. Time for bed! RE: The Summer Friendlies Thread 2015 - wba_1996 - 18-07-2015 Won 2-1, so at least we keep some pride. Sloppy throughout, everyone was poor, the gaps in this squad are glaring and massive. RE: The Summer Friendlies Thread 2015 - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 18-07-2015 Oh, come on. A commentator who thought every single person on the pitch was Craig Gardner, and believed Charleston were playing the Wicked Brom-Witch of the West! What more do you want from an American friendly? ![]() RE: The Summer Friendlies Thread 2015 - Salopbaggie - 18-07-2015 (18-07-2015, 08:16)Ska Wrote: Oh, come on. I thought the commentator was great and his judgement of us was amusing and spot on if you have even more rose coloured glasses than I have. "one of the best teams in the world" (loved that one), "a team full of superstars" (hope the team did not hear that one they might start to believe it). Commentator "Man of the Match" for me! RE: The Summer Friendlies Thread 2015 - GlassEyedBomber - 18-07-2015 Well that was pretty disappointing but there was one bright spark for me, McManaman looked good every time he was in down the wing. RE: The Summer Friendlies Thread 2015 - betterthanbaird - 18-07-2015 Was Mclean left back for the whole game? It looks like we might be trying to mould him into that role or we're just putting him there until we buy a left back. RE: The Summer Friendlies Thread 2015 - Baggievicar - 18-07-2015 Who scored the second? Fair enough, many of those were from sitting extremely deep under Pulis, but if we go into next season with a back 4 of Dawson - McAuley - Olsson - Lescott we will need to be sat on the edge of our box because even 33 year old Kaka was made to look like Usain Bolt. If the Charleston midfield last night had any quality whatsoever we would have been embarrassed as the amount of times they got runners in behind was scary. |
