Turkey dinner.
When you haven't got hundreds of millions of pounds to spend including 30 odd million on a reserve left back you have to be tactically aware. I don't think the problem was us parking the bus but maybe Man Utds failure to break us down ?

RE: Man Utd vs WBA - Match Thread - Worldclassalbion - 03-05-2015

Parking the bus or not, we are in survival mode........and rightly so. We had 2 decent chances in the first half albeit very weak headers from Lescott and then Mulumbu. We got forward when we could and Fletchers run through got us the free kick that the goal came from (Massive lucky deflection).

Man Ure could not cut through us even though RVP had some decent efforts. I cannot remember Rooney doing anything.

Tactically TP out did LVG and it worked a treat. IF we stay up I expect decent football to return next season as he did it at Palace.

All these poxy stats, possession, passing, shots and corners etc........waste of time. One stat that matters:

Manchester United.........0
West Bromwich Albion....1

Thumb up Thumb up Thumb up Thumb up Thumb up

I did mean it in a nice way but your right it seem`s a problem for us at the moment, the way to beat Man Utd is `give them the ball` someone said in jest but its accurate a few times this season-RVP/Falaco have been at times dreadful but even with a very off color ADM weve the likes of Mata/Herrera who should be able to open defences somewhat, just not always happening

Full credit to TP in my opinion Thumb up

Interesting point raised on MOTD2. Yesterday`s win was TP`s 1st win against Manure in the Premier league. DD Big Grin Big Grin

When I saw the Albion line-up I thought it might be fractionally more entertaining to listen to it on the Radio than to watch it.
Laugh

Stan Collymore was commentating, and he doesn't like the Albion, does he!
I'm guessing that our fans have given him plenty of abuse so, to retaliate, he mentioned that
"the Albion away following was pretty poor, and that there were only a few dozen who bothered to make the trip".
His co-presenter said something like
"That's a bit of an understatement, Stan".

Does anyone know how many went? They certainly made themselves heard above the other 70,000+ who were even quieter than usual except when they gave their support to Rio.

Pulis has had his doubters and everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I firmly believe our squad is very poor zero pace, aging players etc etc so to think Pulis has got us to 40 points (and beyond perhaps) from where we was when he taken over from Irvine is nothing short of superb even the Pulis doubters should doff their hats to him even if it isn't the football style you'd like to see been played.
My personal opinion is that next season the areas which we need strengthening will be fully addressed & their won't be any papering over the cracks like we have seemed to of done for the last couple of seasons, there should be plenty of pace in the side next season and i'm quietly confident the style of play will change accordingly

RE: Man Utd vs WBA - Match Thread - valpayne - 04-05-2015

watching chelsea palace and gary and martin are waxing lyrical about mourinho playing defensive defensive defensive and nicking the win 1-0
boring boring chelsea. They're blabbering on about how amazing mourinho is and how tactically astute he is how he knows how to grind a result out
and is a winner. Oh I also heard the pundits mention man utd lost but couldn't be arsed to say who by Grrr Oh they just said he's (mourinho) is a serial winner lol!
yet wba fans still hate Pulis for his style of play. he took a team many of us realise aren't pacey or young enough or good enough and got us to 40 points at all places old trafford Undecided Hmm! I give up I truly do.

Talksaft,
Not sure how many tickets we were given, about 2000 I think but they sold out within hours.
Collymore hates us and is always slagging us off. He is a Villa fan so condescending abuse flows in his veins.
Fingers crossed we finish above them and put them in their place.
We know what we are....

Collymore is an individual below my contempt. Goodness knows what type of a media outlet gives him a platform.
