RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - WakeyTerrier - 02-05-2015 You could see this coming a mile off. In fact a few on here predicted what would happen. The whole thing is a shambles. They were going to protest outside at a statue until somebody removed it and threatened them all with prosecution. I feel for all fans involved Home and away. Home fans because of what is happening to the club, away fans because they spent £24/25 and only got 48mins of footy.....having said that surely the pitch invasion was more entertaining than watching Town RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - St Charles Owl - 02-05-2015 Sounds to me like everyone knew it was coming and had basically made the decision not to do anything about it!! I can understand not being heavy handed by arresting people or using horses, that would just leave to more trouble. I wonder if they hoped they would make their protest and after 15 mins or so would call it off and go back to the stands. Blackpool are in danger of dropping further next season if they don't sort themselves out, but I cannot see Oyston going anywhere soon, he seems stupid enough to just dig his heels in which will just cause more of what we saw today. RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - Amelia Chaffinch - 02-05-2015 He was laughing at them from his box. He's obviously not bothered. Why would anyone want their business to fail? It has to be said that it looks that way. RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - ARTERRIER - 02-05-2015 This was always on the cards and to be honest, the money aside spent by Town fans, I really don' t blame the Blackpool fans, clearly Oyston situation is getting out of hand. Think everyone needs to see the bigger picture here the integrity of a fellow club is at stake. I agree fans shouldn't be deciding results of games but on this occasion the ends justifies the means. The ref should have just played the rest of the game after everyone had gone home. Apparently the Town players are off on a jolly up Tuesday, so that rules out a replay of the outstanding minutes. We could be awarded a 3-0 victory or the result may stand, who knows, one thing for sure is that Blackpool will be whacked with a big fine for a) not fulfilling their fixtures and b) failing to control their fans. One fan made his way upto the directors box to twat Oyston after his son had started flicking the v's to the fans on the pitch, he was masked, in a 'v for vendetta' mask. It was quite funny as the heavy mob slammed the exec box door in his face. RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - Lord Snooty - 02-05-2015 Can't see what all the fuss is myself. I think the Blackpool fans are pathetic. What the hell are they protesting about? They don't like the Chairman. So bloody what? You support your club. You do not get matches abandoned like today. There are lots of clubs with crap owners who don't act like this. Look at Leeds ffs. Blackpool should be fined, docked ten points for next season and we should be awarded three points for today. We can't allow this to happen without severe punishment. Otherwise, it gives a clear message to others that this is what to do if you don't like something. RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - themaclad - 02-05-2015 Sadly called it right that will teach the Oyston's to burn down the Phoenix Club(lateral thinking required otherwise my joke is tumbleweed) RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - ARTERRIER - 02-05-2015 Today was the last resort though Snoots. Oyston asked to be judged at the end if the season and today was judgement day, the club leave with 4 victories, no away wins, th see lowest points tally for this league, how bad can it get. This kind of thing could be coming at a higher profile club with 5 times more fans than Blackpool in the shape of Newcastle. And if it happens at Leeds then it could get messy. RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - EastLondonTerrier - 02-05-2015 Snoots if that was our club we would have done exactly the same thing I assure you. Here's a great guardian article by Daniel Taylor that will tell you just how cretinous this wannabee corleone family are in destroying Blackpool football club. Making money off people criticising the club, taking down statues of the legends at the club, spending all the money made from being in the premier league on their own company. He is a vile individual with an even viler father and the FA will look like a complete joke if they don't do something about this. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/may/02/karl-oyston-blackpool-tangerine-nightmare-stan-mortenson?CMP=fb_gu A club with an owner convicted of raping a 16 year old girl. They make Cellino look like aunt theresa. Learn a bit more about the situation before you label fans as 'pathetic' for finally standing up to the gradual destruction of their club. RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - St Charles Owl - 02-05-2015 The removal of Mortenson's statue is not only exceedingly disrespectful to the man and his family, but it is a petty act of a man who should be barred from owning anything, let alone a football club!! He appears to be an odious man who will drive the club into the ground because of his petty vendetta against the fans, who like any club are the lifeblood of any football team. Shameful situation!! RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - Lord Snooty - 02-05-2015 Whoa, whoa, whoa! I know all about the Oystons and what a vile bunch of people they are, but I don't agree with what the Blackpool fans are doing. Today was an absolute disgrace. It goes against everything football supporting is about. They should be punished severely for it. End of the day, it's only a game. If you don't like it, don't go. |
