RE: HTAFC Summer Transfer Thread 2025 - Lord Snooty - 11-07-2025 I don't think the injuries to the other defenders helped. He was shifted from one position to another every game. RE: HTAFC Summer Transfer Thread 2025 - jjamez - 11-07-2025 I believe its agents that cause all the issues, they tell rank average players that they are worth the world and they believe it and act like it. Not saying Spencer was rank average, but he was caught wanting in the champ and wasnt any better than average. Could he be, possibly yeah but he needs to sort a lot of things in his game first RE: HTAFC Summer Transfer Thread 2025 - Lord Snooty - 11-07-2025 Experience and better coaches will do him the world of good. Not sure Oxford is the place to go though. The Northern Ireland commentators were saying he should be looking towards bottom end of Premier League or top end of the Championship for a move. RE: HTAFC Summer Transfer Thread 2025 - theo_luddite - 11-07-2025 When you're at a club where the management, and by that I mean Directors, show they can't run a piss-up in one of the club bars, let alone a brewery, on a daily basis, why would anybody want to be there. Most fans only see what is on the pitch. They see a lack of pride and application/ability and of course they're going to rail at the players and the head coach/manager. I'm pretty sure many on here have worked for folk that really don't care about you, but make all the right noises in the boardroom. In some cases I agree it's agents looking to line their own pockets, I don't think it is this time. It starts with Kevin the Gerbil. He don't impress me much. RE: HTAFC Summer Transfer Thread 2025 - theo_luddite - 15-07-2025 Lynden Gooch - finally we've signed a winger, who on a closer look might just be another full-back or one of those strange positions in between. Formerly of the parishes of Blunderland and Smoke-on-Stench, let's hope he's better than the last few we've had from the tow path of the Trent and Mersey Canal. RE: HTAFC Summer Transfer Thread 2025 - Baggiebob(BBB) - 15-07-2025 He ho, hope you are all enjoying the summer heat.. talking about heat I see your new manager has now 9 new signings, more on the defensive side, so hoping to keep the goals against down, but what of the strikers, who do u have now? With a £15m defecit last year, have you got rid of players for a good price to pay for the 9 players? I ask this cos i dont know. I wish you luck this season and hope to see you in the championship and play WBA.. Oh and me Lord i havent recieved my winners cup for the prediction league yet... getting it engraved with my name on it takes time huh. RE: HTAFC Summer Transfer Thread 2025 - theo_luddite - 15-07-2025 I was predicting a 7-2-1 formation at one point BBB but I'm more convinced by the day that we'll go for a far more defensive formation rather than that attacking one. Goals? Who needs them? RE: HTAFC Summer Transfer Thread 2025 - Lord Snooty - 17-07-2025 Koroma signed for Orient. RE: HTAFC Summer Transfer Thread 2025 - theo_luddite - 17-07-2025 That's a bit further south than Barnsley. RE: HTAFC Summer Transfer Thread 2025 - Devongone - 20-07-2025 So is Vietnam, and that is where Kyle Hudlin has gone. He'll be a foot taller than anyone else in the country. When the Americans were there they'd have sprayed him with Agent Orange. |
