RE: WBA - Easter Thread - 4evaabaggie - 26-04-2025 Baggiesteve, Didn’t realise his win ratio was that low, I work with a clay head and I got the impression their form since January put them very close to the top of the table. Robins appeared to be a successful manager but the truth might not match the hype. Saw that about Gerrard, not keen, awful at villa, sacked in Switzerland, some success in a poor Scottish league, did will to win a title with the gers but win ratios in a two team league don’t really count. His fame and reputation might encourage signings and inspire players but does his actual managerial skills and tactics stand up in a tough competitive championship …. I’m not sure it would. Don’t know who is available and my total apathy to the modern game, the bias and the closed shop means I struggle to raise any interest. Love the Albion, always a baggie, but until the ruling bodies do something to stop the game being bought and sold by rich clubs my interest generally will not return. May not be the biggest deal in the women's footie world but a great achievement all the same and they've worked hard for it. |
