RE: Crawley News - themaclad - 15-08-2025 Crawley Town have signed Jamaica forward Kaheim Dixon on a season-long loan from Charlton Athletic. The 20-year-old moved to the Championship club a year ago for an undisclosed fee from Jamaica Premier League side Arnett Gardens. He made three substitute appearances for Charlton in League One last season, having featured in the 2024 Copa America, and also played in this summer's Concacaf Gold Cup. Dixon is the 11th new player to join Crawley this summer following their relegation from League One last season. "Kaheim is a young player with lots of talent, and for his development he needs to be playing senior football and scoring goals," Charlton boss Nathan Jones told the club website, external. "Given the additions we've made to the squad this summer, the club stepping up to the Championship and his age, now is the time for Kaheim to go out on loan and play regularly. "He goes to a good club, we'll be following his progress closely and he'll come back to us in a good position having had the opportunity to play regular senior football." The 25-year-old defender has made just three appearances for the Brewers since arriving from Notts County last summer. He began his career at Birmingham City before moving to Kidderminster Harriers in 2021. Bajrami joined Notts County a year later, helping the Magpies to . before joining Burton in 2024. He is the 12th player to join the Reds since they were relegated to League Two in May. Scott Lindsey's side host Tranmere Rovers at Broadfield Stadium on Saturday. The 34-year-old, who can also play in midfield, spent eight months with the Reds but left the club to join Cambridge United in March after making three appearances. Malone has made more than 500 appearances in the EFL for clubs including Millwall, Cardiff City, Fulham, Huddersfield Town and Derby County. He left Cambridge in June after making eight appearances for the club and becomes Scott Lindsey's 13th summer signing. Crawley have picked up one point from their opening five League Two matches and visit Chesterfield on Saturday. Crawley Town have signed striker Ryan Loft from League Two rivals Cambridge United on a season-long loan. The Tottenham academy graduate scored three times in 38 appearances for Cambridge after joining the U's from Port Vale in July last year. Loft, 27, moved to the Valiants after helping Bristol Rovers secure promotion to League One in 2022. He has also had spells at Scunthorpe United, Exeter City, Carlisle United and Stevenage. |
