Missed Windass incredibly

The great thing about us today is we are getting the ball forward quickly whenever we have it, its put so much pressure on them. How many second balls have we won compared to what we normally do??

This is what we should have been doing 'tactically' all season despite the personnel.
It's the league you win 5-4 in

Adeniran on for Bannan. Not Bannans best game but he has been effective. He is much more efficient when Luongo plays, let's Bannan get forward more.

Now we have shut up shop, but instead it being with 20 minutes to go its in the 93rd minute!!! Perfect!!

Paterson on for Gregory. Decent game for Gregory, might get overlooked for credit due to Mendez-Laing, Sow and maybe Windass taking the headlines.

Probably our best 90 minutes of the season. Even though they scored 2 goals both were flukes - one a great free kick, one a bizzare ping-pong in front of goal. We dominated that game from start to finish and we showed we can score if we just keep driving forward. Not one player had a bad day, defence was solid, Palmer had an excellent game and Hutch was the Hutch of old with a goal added in there. Midfield won just about every battle, Luongo was key but the wing backs in Hunt and Mendez-Laing were superb. Bannan and Dele-Bashiru controlled the middle, Dele could be a great player if he can develop a bit more composure, he is strong and has pace, reminds me of Antonio but without the scoring boots yet!! Sow and Gregory caused them problems all afternoon and chased them down whenever they had the ball.

Definitely a needed performance and win, something to build on hopefully and a crucial three points against a playoff rival.

I wouldn't get carried away just yet. Good performance no doubt, but consistency is key

Absolutely, we have shown ourselves what we are capable of, now as you say we need to stick that sort of effort in time after time. The likes of Mendez-Laing has been inconsistent his whole career, so it will be interesting to see if he can repeat todays performance next time out, definitely earned another start.
