Sorry, May68, statto.com did work at one time, but I haven't used it for quite a while, and it looks as if it's been taken down now, which is a real shame, because it had results and league tables going back to the year dot. I can't really recommend a good alternative. There's soccerstats.com but that only goes back to 2012-13. If I come across a good one, I'll give you a shout.

Thanks anyway aries22. I was after something with assist stats as I'd be interested to see how many Sess actually gets.

I thought this was the transfer thread?? The last 4 pages are about the number 10 role whatever it may be.

Sessegnon has been a disappointment since he signed, little flashes here and there. Jimmy Morrison is better in the role IMO.

Ska'd can you move the last 4 pages onto its own thread and lets get back to posting about what the thread actually says?

RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - silverbaggie - 05-08-2015

The problem is 'Worldclass' that there's virtually nothing to discuss on the transfer front.

I can only hope that the Baggies backroom staff responsible for recruitment are like Ducks... you know gliding along serenely on the surface but, paddling away strenuously under the water.

As usual at this stage of the transfer period we supporters haven't got a clue as to what is going on and we are clutching at every little crumb any journo chooses to throw at us.

As a result we are in danger of becoming too negative and seem to be spending all of our time giving reasons as to why we couldn't possibly sign this or that player and, in addition, slagging off some of the players we already have, not to mention each other.

I'm disappointed that we didn't close the deal for Sako and allowed him to slip through our fingers.
I'm disappointed to be told that a class player like Denis Praet isn't suitable for the Club because he's not a Pulis type player.
I'm disappointed that we are rumoured to be trying to sign a third goalkeeper when a new left back should be the top priority. (Assuming Poco just isn't able to hack it.)
I'm disappointed that we haven't made more of an effort to sign that young Gray winger from the Blues.
But mostly, I'm disappointed that our ability to recognise players appropriate to our needs just isn't good enough since Dan Ashworth left for greener pastures.

But despite all these disappointments..... I'M STILL A BAGGIE

RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - Worldclassalbion - 05-08-2015

Silver I feel exactly the same but this number 10 'banter' is getting on my tits because every time I log on to see the number if pages has moved on I'm hoping to see some new news but no just something totally unrelated so i am angry about our lack of signings yet AGAIN but the added hope i will see something new and I'm reading this pointless droll so it needs moving onto another thread.

RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - Squirrel Regis - 06-08-2015

Is it fair to say that by not signing Sako the chances of signing Phillips from QPR or Antonio from Forest are looking much better ?
Either that or somebody the press are not aware of ?
Judging our transfers of late I wouldn't rule out the left field signing but pretty sure something gonna happen in next couple of days.
Thumb up

RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - Dingle-Dingle - 06-08-2015

Spurs are keen to make a move for QPR's England striker Charlie Austin, 26, who would cost around £15m. (Daily Mirror)

Manchester City trio Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Samir Nasri could miss the start of the new season after being sent home from training with a stomach bug. (Daily Star)

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood believes his main aim of improving Aston Villa this season 'won't be too hard' after last year's Premier League campai gn, where they finished 17th. (Birmingham Mail) Ha Ha Ha DD Laugh Laugh

RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - wba_1996 - 06-08-2015

Italian press, namely Gianluca Di Marzio, reporting we are interested in Roma striker Seydou Doumbia. Another one I can't see as he is not UK-based but a signing that I reckon would be up there with the signings of the season if we could pull it off.
