The referee favoured Canada. If she had made correct decisions then England would have won more comfortably. The commentators on BBC said Canada had only got this far due to weak referees allowing them to get away with thuggery in earlier matches.

I wouldn't say they were that bad but they behaved a bit like Leeds when they went behind.

The semi finals are the same as the semi finals in World War Two.

about 30 minutes in the commentators mentioned the number of fouls canada had been given that tournament and in particular that game,it was something like 13 fouls against england and only 2 against canada
