RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - spireitematt - 23-11-2017 As it stands we are still in the EU and the economy is in deep shit due to austerity and mismanagement. If its this bad in the EU how bad is it going to be when we leave? RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - 0762 - 24-11-2017 (23-11-2017, 20:27)hibeejim21 Wrote: That wee trick the tories pulled with vat on our police and fire service..... They really are utter vermin. Jim that's why most Scots do not vote Tory in any great numbers! It is indeed because they are scumbags with a scumbag ideology that goes back decades n decades to a distant history when the derisory word 'tory' could even be heard as far back as the American war of independence! The abhorrence of lotsa Scottish voters re the Tory gain in parliamentary seats, during the last general election, just confirmed that they have been 'well sussed' in decades gone by. That election 'blip' will not happen again! RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - St Charles Owl - 24-11-2017 (24-11-2017, 00:51)0762 Wrote:(23-11-2017, 20:27)hibeejim21 Wrote: That wee trick the tories pulled with vat on our police and fire service..... They really are utter vermin. Its a shame that blip happened last time, without that the Tories would not have been able to form a coalition and we would likely have seen another election where the momentum would have swung away from them. RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - hibeejim21 - 24-11-2017 By that logic labour were just as much to blame. RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - spireitematt - 24-11-2017 Don't understand why Scotland voted for the Tories its like Turkeys voting for Christmas. To be honest I don't understand why anyone votes Tory in Scotland or England. They try and make out that they are the party of economic responsibility but they try and get rid of the deficit and debt at the expense of the poorest in society while the top 1% is unaffected and they can continue with there lavish lifestyles and having caviar for breakfast while the poorest in society have to choose between eating or heating. The only way you can help people and get the economy moving is by investing and by investing in people. If you invest in people and create more jobs, housing and give people a decent wage which they can live off they will then spend that wage in shops, restaurants etc meaning that money will go back into the economy and will eventually bring the deficit and National debt down quicker. If they abandoned white elephants projects like HS2 and stopped fracking then that money could be used for public services and to build more council houses and affordable houses to help people. As Tony Benn said. "If we can find money to kill people, we can find the money to help people". RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - 0762 - 24-11-2017 'The Wealth of Nations' by Adam Smith - read it Spireitematt! It's about spreading wealth fairly in a civilised society and managing that process properly. Tories and their divisive policies and political ideology come nowhere near that philosophy because they are divisive scumbags favoured and financed by the elite to peddle their selective 'crap' at the expense of the poorest groups of people in our society. Like you, I can never figure how there are so many people in this country who have been duped by them under the guise of 'join us and experience the great possibility of gaining wealth with the haves'!! RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - hibeejim21 - 27-11-2017 The other EU states making it clear they are behind the republic of Ireland, in other words no trade talks until the border issue is resolved. The tories need to stop xxxx about and get on with this. So if we have a hard border across Ireland in 16 months time we are taking a huge step into the unknown and possibly re-opening old conflicts on the island. Or if we have a border across the irish sea,the the DUPs relationship with the tories will come under extreme stress (and indeed northern Ireland may well have taken a step towards leaving the UK) and we may end up with another election. Who the xxxx knows anymore ? Maybe these invisible 58 brexit reports might shed some light on things. RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - 0762 - 27-11-2017 Will we ever see this report from these scumbags anyway???? Because they know and we know that this report will be absolutely damning and the 'remain lobby', which is still 'alive n kicking' btw, will finally be provided with the 'ammunition' to act and conduct a public campaign to try and stop this 'brexit shit' in its tracks!!!! RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - spireitematt - 27-11-2017 There is now a Royal wedding on the way which will distract everyone from Brexit. Also the Government announced today that benefits will be frozen for the next 3 years but no news of it anywhere. RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - 0762 - 27-11-2017 Great to see such 'shared cynicism' when it comes to sussing out the motives of this toerag govt! ![]() |
