RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (17 July) - Stairs - 17-07-2017 Arsenal mate says he is a good player and needs a fresh start. I am quite excited about the prospect. Just wished it was a done deal before Newcastle and West Ham start sniffing about. Yup......I see that it CAN work with a slower CB, but to me it seems like we're going to line up AGAIN with a very deep lying defence, content to absorb pressure and give the initiative to the opposition all game. Hopefully I'm wrong. RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (17 July) - Stairs - 18-07-2017 Ok. No surprises there. WBA getting the shakes over £10m asking price for Gibbs. Say hello to West Ham or other as they step in and steal. RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (18 July) - Stairs - 18-07-2017 Non League defender from Nuneaton linked! Leicester and Peterborough also tagged. RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (18 July) - Salopbaggie - 18-07-2017 Samadoria bid for Wilshere!! Wenger's comment is interesting though, in saying he expects Wilshere to stay, "But once he is ready, when he comes back, he will not be far from practising with the team." Just how near/fit is he? http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11670/10952258/sampdoria-make-bid-for-arsenals-jack-wilshere RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (18 July) - Dingle-Dingle - 18-07-2017 Jonny Evans New club captain. TP says going nowhere. DD ![]() ![]() RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (17 July) - SomersetBaggie - 18-07-2017 (18-07-2017, 09:15)Stairs Wrote: Ok. No surprises there. How can WBA think that they are going to get an experienced premier league player such as Gibbs for less than £10M. They are living in the past and are thinking like a mid championship club, if they are not careful that is what they will make us. I wonder if they go into their local and still expect to pay £1 a pint. RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (18 July) - Slick_Footwork - 18-07-2017 Given that we paid £12m for Rodriguez, who has started 12 games in 3 years, i think we'd probably be aware of the going rate for Gibbs. Probably just paper talk / negotiation. Although I'd be very surprised if we got him, as he is proven at this level with a top side and we don't have a history of shelling out the money required on wages for this type of player. But we'll see... RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (18 July) - Beefy 1965 - 19-07-2017 Sorry no link However a conversation on twitter involving Chris Lepkowski says some leak has been made in the media abroad involving WBA being interested in this player....... Márton Eppel (born 26 October 1991 in Budapest) is a Hungarian football player who plays for Budapest Honvéd, 6Ft3" scored 21 in 38 games last season !! |
