RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - betterthanbaird - 07-08-2019 (07-08-2019, 12:03)Blue Baggie Wrote: Push Edwards up top and get Tulloch warmed up. Have we forgotten we don't need people to make the numbers up. I'm tired of all transfer BS it's gone beyond my interest now. Dowling has done 2 good signings tbf. Reduced the headcount and the overhead and a surplus on transfer fees - job done. Edwards is looking great on the wing, I really don't see why we'd potentially ruin that progress to stick him upfront, where he probably isn't suited. I'm sure we'll sign a striker and we'll just have to hope that they're decent or Zohore turns out to be much better than he looked on Saturday. Thankfully the window closes tomorrow so all the nonsense can move to one side and we can give proper football all our concentration. Looks like a few clubs are lining up Sam Field on loan, he's a decent player but probably not likely to get a lot of game time for us so makes sense to head elsewhere. If he goes, would Brunt and Harper be our only backup to the three that started against Forest? RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Slick_Footwork - 07-08-2019 Let's just hope they can pull a rabbit out of the hat with a forward. There must be someone available surely... What about Brewster from Liverpool? Iheanacho from Leicester? I'd actually take Hogan at present, as everyone better seems to be out of reach. At least he's got a track record of scoring in this division. Most teams in the league are in the same boat, I'm sure, but we really would look decent with a good forward. I'd still like to see us go for someone like Baghdad Bounedjah. Just crossing everything that we can get someone decent in. RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - betterthanbaird - 07-08-2019 (07-08-2019, 13:12)Slick_Footwork Wrote: Let's just hope they can pull a rabbit out of the hat with a forward. I struggle to believe it but most Liverpool fans seem to think Brewster will feature a fair bit for them this season, as for Iheanacho he's looked horrendous at Leicester (admittedly a higher level than here), and probably has bigger wages than we can afford. I'm confident we're looking at plenty of options and this time on Friday we'll all be talking about the new striker we've signed who only Josh has ever heard of before (and those types of transfers have brought us success in the past). RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Northwalesbaggie - 07-08-2019 How about Jordan Ibe from Ball mouth on a season long loan?. RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Beefy 1965 - 07-08-2019 Mattwilson@expressandstar Newcastle tell #wba no loan deal for Dwight Gayle and Albian Ajeti looks set for West Ham. Albion's striker search going deep into the window... https://t.co/zZCRzC4JHb Hold on new rumours in just checking them out CL just tweeted this but not sure how he gets hold of this before journos so one to watch, also Josh this polish guy need your input .... Going to be a busy couple of days at #wba. Hearing they’ve agreed a deal to sign Marc Albrighton from #lcfc and are also in talks to sign Polish forward Adam Buksa from Pogon Szczecin. RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - SomersetBaggie - 07-08-2019 Totally underwhelmed with the clubs ability to sign a striker this window. Hogan is better than nobody and knows the league from his Brentford days. If we do not sign a known goalscorer we will struggle all season. I obviously do not know whats happening behind the scenes but am only expecting a couple panic buys like HRK tomorrow. Looking at who has left and the money recieved (or to be recieved) we should be able to get at least one major signing. RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Beefy 1965 - 07-08-2019 Ah wasn't CL he retweeted from a guy called jamed Anderson.. But just in from Matt Wilson #wba have approached West Ham about taking 21-year-old winger Grady Diangana on loan, but it doesn't end their interest in Matheus Pereira, who they still hope to bring in before tomorrow's deadline RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Blue Baggie - 07-08-2019 Players available mostly free - still plenty to chose from for back up / support players RB - Danny Simpson (Free) RB - Carl Jenkinson (£2m) Forest linked RB - Emil Krafth (£2m) - Newcastle CH - Ashley williams (Free) CH - Nemanja Pejcinovic (Free) RW - Angel Romero (Free) RW - Lazar Markovic (Free) FW - Oumar Niasse (Loan) FW - Brojan KrKic (Free) FW - William Bony (Free) FW - Fenando LLorentto (Free) RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Northwalesbaggie - 07-08-2019 (07-08-2019, 14:50)Blue Baggie Wrote: Players available mostly free - still plenty to chose from for back up / support players Jenkinson & Krafth off the list. Signed by Forest & Newcastle respectively. Do we need another RB? I'd go for Niasse & Bony. RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - WBA-Josh - 07-08-2019 Diangana and Pereira both in would be great business. Diangana or Phillips on the right and Pereira or Edwards on the left. Here’s the Polish player - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-buksa/profil/spieler/267160 Scored 11 last season and 1 so far this season for his club. Seems like he can also play left wing. |
