RE: Transfers - struth - 13-08-2015 They are welcome to him as far as I am concerned. at 8k a week its an expense the club could do without. Doubt he will play much at Celtic unless there are injuries but you never know. Would think there is a bit of the Jock Stein about the signing....re we sign players so other sides cant. Stubby will enjoy it as he hates Rangers with a vengeance; or at least seems to.... next man in at Parkhead maybe? RE: Transfers - El Car - 13-08-2015 Looks like Stubbs' pleas to Celtic to come and get him and have finally paid off. I wouldn't blame the player for going whatever his affiliations as a supporter. He's obviously not coming to us any time soon and he could quadruple his wages and sit on the bench for Europa League games at Celtic. I was going to say Stubbs as Celtic manager seems unlikely, but given that he's reviled at Everton for pushing their best young players to leave - and he's seemingly been doing the same with Allan at Hibs - I think he'd fit Lawwell's strategy perfectly. RE: Transfers - struth - 14-08-2015 Don't see Delia staying for ever so yes, he could be next. Certainly glad Gers have moved from that old stance re managers being ex players etc. It rarely does any good long term, although it seems to placate some "fans". As for Allan going to Celtic, well I would think he wants out of Hibs now and sure Hibs want rid(as long as its not Rangers) so he will likely go unless someone else appears with an equ offer which seems highly unlikely. RE: Transfers - Fredstersafool - 14-08-2015 What stance is that Struth??in the last 40 years rangers have only had 2 ex players manage the club unless you want to count the caretakers so I don't get that. Bit confused here, how did ye come up wi' the insinuation that stubbs is pushing him tae lesve. And I wid say he's mair sticking u p for the club that employs him than sticking it up rangers (13-08-2015, 23:25)El Car Wrote: Looks like Stubbs' pleas to Celtic to come and get him and have finally paid off. Rangers FC - Spurs Duo Arrive On Loan Rangers can tonight confirm the signing 19-year-old Nathan Oduwa and 20-year-old Dominic Ball on season long loans, subject to international clearance. The pair arrive at Ibrox from Premier League Tottenham Hotspur, where they are highly thought of and will be Mark Warburton’s eighth and ninth signings of the summer. As for Scott Allan, for a player football is a job with a limited shelf life, so if Celtic make him the best available offer, he should not be blamed for taking it. Absolutely. I've no qualms with him moving on from Hibs, and I'm glad he's got himself sorted out at another club. The boy needs to be playing and not languishing frozen out in the reserves at Hibs for a year. As I'm sure most are aware, I was against him joining Rangers all along as I never felt he was right temperamentally for us. That he'll jump at the chance to sign for Celtic suggests that I may not have been too far from the mark. RE: Transfers - TheWorthinGer - 14-08-2015 He was already off the radar so no worries. If the reports of 10k a week are true he's quite right to go to Timmy - their money spends as well as anyone else's. And he's not worth half that. RE: Transfers - Trusevich - 14-08-2015 Mark Warburton gives heavy hint (you'll have to dig through the endlessly repeatetive questions about Scott Allan first though) that another loan signing is due next week: So he says there that Eustace will join up, and another on loan. The two new Spurs boys are both available for selection for Sunday too. I'm still thinking an out-and-out striker is on the cards. ---------------------------------------------- Much talk elsewhere about Haris Vuckic making a return - I don't see it at all, he's lacking in that one magic quality that all our players seem to require for Warburton's style to work - pace. Jock Wallace ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Greig, Mclean, Durrant, McCall, McCoist, McDowall all failed, pretty badly....Smith, McLeish, Souness, Advocaat all did pretty well. Le Guen, I believe would have done well if this, "He's no a Rangers Man like wee Barry" did not kick in. Warburton,... well we shall see but I bet he joins group 2. |
