RE: WBA vs Huddersfield - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 22-09-2019 Stirring stuff for a Sunday lunchtime, glad we got the three points and that it was a genuine contest. Feels like the story of this season so far is things going wrong for us early doors, then Bilic making necessary changes to get a result: 15 points now earned from losing positions! As Beefy and others have said, we just need to cut out the daft mistakes at the back. RE: WBA vs Huddersfield - Match Thread - derbybaggie - 22-09-2019 Interesting interview on Sky with SB straight after the game. Thought he spoke a lot of sense. Even Don Goodman gave a few compliments. So much better having this kind of football than Pulis Ball. RE: WBA vs Huddersfield - Match Thread - Arcane Astral Aeons - 22-09-2019 not good for the blood pressure(at my age) but it`s entertaining to watch RE: WBA vs Huddersfield - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 22-09-2019 (22-09-2019, 20:22)derbybaggie Wrote: Interesting interview on Sky with SB straight after the game. Love that when he came on, you could hear distant echoes of the Slaven Bilic song through the ground; must have been some fans left watching the tellies in one of the concourses! RE: WBA vs Huddersfield - Match Thread - WBA-Josh - 23-09-2019 Slaven Bilic deserves a lot of praise for his ability to change a match. You could make the argument that he sometimes picks the wrong team from the start and is then forced to change it but what can’t be denied is his ability to recognise the problem(s) and then make the necessary changes to correct the problems. We haven’t had a Head Coach with this skill for a long time. Big Dave was rather slow at times, Pardew was rather lazy, Pulis was too basic in his changes etc. RE: WBA vs Huddersfield - Match Thread - Baggiebob(BBB) - 23-09-2019 Strangely when we were 1-0 down I thought we'd come back, and then 2-1 down wondered if some doubters re the game result could be correct, started to worry, but when after the 2-2, 3-2, 4-2, had applauded the team and Bilic. Maybe we should always be behind to always win or draw. No loses yet though. ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: WBA vs Huddersfield - Match Thread - BaggieSteve - 23-09-2019 Got the chance to go yesterday, first game of the season. Everyone has made all comments I would have made - including Town’s somewhat loud kit ![]() ![]() RE: WBA vs Huddersfield - Match Thread - Lord Snooty - 23-09-2019 Your subs were better than ours. Grady Gaga was excellent, wheras we decided to play the last 20 minutes with 9 men. ![]() ![]() Anyway good luck, Baggies for the rest of the season. Always a good place to visit. We went for a pre match Costa and had us pictures taken with the three degrees. ![]() RE: WBA vs Huddersfield - Match Thread - Amelia Chaffinch - 23-09-2019 I have to say it's one of the friendliest grounds I have ever visited. I haven't done many repeat visits but that's twice to your ground now and I know we will come back again.
