I agree putting on a midfielder for an attacker when we’re 2-0 up seems odd, and from what I saw of the game I couldn’t tell if we were slowly being overrun in midfield and we needed shoring up, but, if we can defend wisely, the best way to keep pressure on Villa was to keep attacking. In the end I thought we won fairly comfortably. It was satisfying to get a clean sheet against a team that has scored for fun at home this season.

Spotted half time score and became very worried that I’d f it up. But came out of bar tonight to find it has all been worth it.

I need to pretend I am not interested. We win when I do that.

I love this Board. We'm all Baggies, and we've all got differing views, same as in the stands. Nobody crosses the line on here to get really offensive at another's point of view - and that's what makes it so friendly. Phil Penn's added a bit of spice, and it's refreshing. Everyone on here is respectful, which is what makes SportsBabble the best. But those who want to start a "fight", go onto 1 or 2 of the other Forums for a bit of fun.

It's hard to understand why the same club that looks so resilient away from home and wins for fun, can look so defensively inept and struggle to score at home. Very impressed with the consistent level of performance of Rodriguez who continues to put in a shift, no matter who plays with him. Murphy appears a poor replacement for Barnes and has his detractors but I like the fact that he does seem to find space in the penalty area and hopefully, more goals will come. I have never liked Robson-Kanu since the day Reading sold him to us. However, I have to give him some credit this season for some sterling performances and a few good goals. In addition, he seems to have a good attitude, witness his playing yesterday whilst still not 100%. He will struggle to play on Tuesday. For me, this contrasts with Livermore who appears to be unfazed by the recent ban and indicated that it gave him the chance to get his body "back in shape". This is not a team player, in my opinion. The championship is a super tough league and needs everyone pulling in the same direction. I would like to give some credit to Dawson and Hegazi. Hegazi, in particular, had a great game against Stoke. However, they don't look the same durable pairing at home. Harper definitely looks a player but needs to be nursed along. He struggled with fatigue in the final quarter yesterday. Barry looks the class player in the team but obviously, we cannot expect him to turn it on 3 games a week. Finally some credit to the much-maligned Johnson who has made 2 or 3 magnificent saves in recent games.

just to be pedantic Reading Didn`t sell him to us
he was without a club we took a gamble on him
and granted he has had his critics during his time with us
but he has scored some important goals
may not be everyone`s ideal front man but if he is wearing our clubs colours gets my support
and would like to say that goal he scored yesterday was outstanding....
