Living in Scotland now for the last 37 years, I think it has to be a malt. So many great ones so hard to choose but I think Talisker from Skye is my favourite tipple. Cheers!

Like someone said before used to be Bathams but not in that part of the world now..

Have found IPA's to be to my liking especially Proper Job (Cornish IPA)

With a meal, it has to be red wine; my particular favourite being a good Rioja but some of those New World reds are pretty good too.

Have now stopped buying  European wines in protest at their demands in that certain so called 'negotiation'.

I always grind myself a couple of mugs of very strong, real coffee in the morning (unless I'm off to one of the churches without a toilet...)
Alpro unsweetened almond drink is gorgeous if you're hot and thirsty.
Green/mint/normal tea in the afternoon, as the whim takes me.

I hardly touch alcohol these days but I grew up on real ale in Kent - the darker the better. I'd love to find a decent dark mild on hand pump but it seems to be a mystery in Yorkshire.
Red wine occasionally with a meal.
I wouldn't drink lager if you paid me to - I can produce my own every couple of hours, especially after drinking tea.

Right, back to the coffee. Thumb up
