.....as does the way that lots of folk turn up the inference at the end of EVERY sentence, as if they're asking a question. Think this was started by our Australian friends from Neighbours. AaaaAgghhh!

Thanks, Drewks. Glad I'm not the only one to get irritated by those.
Another one's from the Yanks (I think):

"Have you got any (say) ketchup?"
"Yes we do".

- it's "Yes we have, Yanks. We invented the bloody language.

I refuse to take on any new sayings 'cos I know they're American or Oz............. sad old twat that I am.

Yes, the 'So' one is a bad one, Drewks.
And don't get me started on the apostrophes in the menu at the pub where we ate tonight.

I hate restaurants that offer Shepherd's Pie and then go on to say its made with ground beef!!! FFS, shepherd look after sheep, not cows!!! A Shepherd's pie is made with lamb and a cottage pie is made with beef!!

Don't get me started on Americans and their liberal use of the English language!!! Still, while ever they keep screwing it up it just makes me and my English accent sound more intelligent every day!!!

BBC TV. Wanted down under. I have £1M4 to spend on a house but I`m not moving to Australia for a better life because I will be £1000 worse off in the 1st year whilst I qualify where upon my salary will increase by £30K.

I just wanted the BBC to pay for my families holiday.

DD, my wife and I have said this all along .....free week in the sun, enjoying it because you are in holiday mode not run of the mill day to arriving mode. Somebody else picks up the tab. Me and my 27 children are thinking of doing it.

Not really, I only have three and their all growed up.

If any of my kids go for it I would tell them to bugger off as soon as possible. Don`t worry about me. My eldest has 5 yrs on his contract to run and has already mooted the idea of NZ. He has my blessing. DD Thumb up Thumb up

I'm all for a bit of proportional representation. Always thought it weird there were no blacks/browns in Coronation St. for instance.
But if there are (say) 5% homosexuals in this country, why aren't heteros complaining when about 90% of TV Presenters are gay?

Back to football ....

......how about these managers - sorry, Head Coaches - that talk about their "project"??! No, you prat, it's not a "project", it's you trying desperately to make your chairman think long term, mostly when your team has had a bad run of results Angry Doh
