RE: Goodbye Dean - Devongone - 14-12-2015 Well I've already mentally solved Cairns. Sorry but he has to go. We take Lavercombe from Torquay who are penniless, loan him back for the season. Next season either Lee or Chapman makes way for a young up and coming keeper ......... We urgently need a left back. Then I'd play, whatever anyone says, Hird just in front of the back four where Desailly used to play at AC Milan. He'd protect the back four and leave a tackling midfielder like Morsy (if everyone decides to wait till he costs nothing) to win the ball much higher up the field. There are more Stats-based men than me out there, but I reckon in general the more tackles you make and the more tackles you win, the more often you win games. Is it Ranieri or Kante's tackling that has transformed Leicester? Wood, how can we keep him? Donohue after WBA and non-league could still be improving, but how good has Chris Herd looked to you? But then we have to think who could a new manager find for us in January, if we can ever find him of course. RE: Goodbye Dean - spireitematt - 19-12-2015 A very interesting rumour is going around just have to wait to see if this rumour is true. RE: Goodbye Dean - bluepooch - 19-12-2015 You tease Matt ! RE: Goodbye Dean - Devongone - 20-12-2015 I had thought we'd chosen the right time to do the dirty on Mr Saunders, if that's what we were going to do. Little did I realise we had no Plan B and that we would sit like molluscs waiting for the tide of relegation to overtake us. If the best we've got is an interesting rumour our CEO is doing his normal brilliant job. Just get it over with Chris. Put yourself in charge and apply for Sepp Blatter Sports Personality of the Year award ........ RE: Goodbye Dean - bluepooch - 21-12-2015 Is this Chris Turner ? or Wilder ? Or Kringle RE: Goodbye Dean - spireitematt - 21-12-2015 (21-12-2015, 00:10)bluepooch Wrote: Is this Chris Turner ? or Wilder ? Or Kringle Chris Turner. There's a rumour going around he will be manager till the end of the season but at the moment its just a rumour. Another rumour going around is that Danny Wilson will be our manager but like I said at the moment there rumours. You would almostĀ think its silly season with all the rumours, managerial changes going on this season. RE: Goodbye Dean - Devongone - 23-12-2015 Down here I rely on you lot for the rumours ...... and most of the news too. I can tell you Torquay's manager says some of their players are on less than the minimum wage. (And unfortunately some of their performances are suggesting a cut would be appropriate). The only Chesterfield-based rumours we ever got came when John Sheridan and Drew Talbot were at Plymouth. RE: Goodbye Dean - bluepooch - 23-12-2015 So Danny Wilson is set to be announced as our new manager . A popular choice no doubt but with a chequered management career.Decent success at Barnsley and Hartlepool and to an extent Bristol City and Sheff U but flopped at Barnsley second time around and MK Dons. RE: Goodbye Dean - Devongone - 23-12-2015 When he first came to Chesterfield Danny Wilson lodged with my auntie in Manor Road Brampton, he stayed in touch with her throughout her life and even attended her funeral. In my opinion he's a great guy, but I wish he weren't finally taking us over at such a low point. He never gave less than 99.8% on the pitch. If this team would match his example they've enough talent to survive. Watching our Juniors against Bradford I reckon we might be producing a centre forward. Was it an optical illusion or was our keeper tiny? |
