It doesn't really matter. Call it quits and we'll all come back again in August

Can't replay it. Season has finished. Our players are off on holiday.
The only reasonable thing to do is give us the points, but they won't.

RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - spireitematt - 02-05-2015

What the FA should do is tell them to have a penalty shoot out behind closed doors and whoever wins gets the 3 points. No point playing the game again because A) Blackpool are relegated and have nothing to play B) Huddersfield are safe. It would not surprise me if Blackpool are fined and have points deducted next season in L1.

I don't blame the Blackpool fans for doing this because they are not liking the way there club is run. What Blackpool fans should have done is wait till the final whistle and then protest on the pitch or boycott games next season and go watch AFC Blackpool like they did the other week.

Surely not another league set-up that can't/won't take decisions?

Town get 3 points, finish above L***s, Blackpool are fined and start next season on -5 points. Easy!

And Prediction League tipsters get £1,000 compensation from Blackpool for denying Town the win. Cool

Try getting that out of the Oyston's Richie.

The League might make their minds up by the time the fixtures come out for next season - nah, the first round of the League Cup will be played before that lot make a decision.

We were ahead using the Duckworth/Lewis method, so 3 points to us, thank you very much. Big Grin

RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - St Charles Owl - 02-05-2015

A question to those who were there, was there any effort to remove the fans from the pitch by stewards and police?? We are only talking about 200 fans, surely with all the advance notice that everyone had that this was going to happen there should have been enough stewards and police to simply shepherd them off the pitch!!

RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - JUSTASILLYOLDGIT - 02-05-2015

From what was being described on Town player, it sounded quite clear that the stewards were in total agreement with what was happening. Not sure what the police were up to! As for points being awarded, I'd prefer to have "Played 45" next to both teams in the final table, and just 'ave done with it to be honest.

RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - Lord Snooty - 02-05-2015

Sounded like there was no attempt to clear the pitch at all. The reasoning being that it would be pointless as as soon as the match restarted, they would be back on again.

RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - Amelia Chaffinch - 02-05-2015

The commentators said the police went in front of the tunnel and stayed there. They couldn't understand that because the protestors were making no effort to go down the tunnel.
