RE: WBA vs Tottenham - Match Thread - wba_1996 - 31-01-2015 Need to be very active in the last 3 days of the window. Personally, I would terminate Wisdom's loan and get a proper RB in because the lad is costing us goals every week, and it is obvious that the loan agreement stated that he has to play every match when fit. RE: WBA vs Tottenham - Match Thread - Beefy 1965 - 31-01-2015 Christ sake ref ....... hes booked Yacob for that !!!! Saido mucked up that back pass then, What did the ref give a foul against gardner for , cross came in Spuds defender dived at it with his hands , free kick spurs !!! RE: WBA vs Tottenham - Match Thread - Worldclassalbion - 31-01-2015 I see Defoe has scored for Sunderland. We missed a trick there IMO RE: WBA vs Tottenham - Match Thread - Stairs - 31-01-2015 Well hopefully if there was any need to stres the importance of getting more players in, this should have done it. RE: WBA vs Tottenham - Match Thread - drewks - 31-01-2015 Oh well - Hull, QPR, Leicester, Burnley, Palace all lost too. Best news on a disappointing day RE: WBA vs Tottenham - Match Thread - Worldclassalbion - 31-01-2015 No Sess, Poco, Gamboa in starting line up........would appear TP doesn't like pace either. Disappointed we Slipped up today but sure he will sort it out. RE: WBA vs Tottenham - Match Thread - Beefy 1965 - 31-01-2015 Lescott at LB No Sess at home , Very Strange ![]() RE: WBA vs Tottenham - Match Thread - wba_1996 - 31-01-2015 We need a RB, LB, LM, CF and possibly a CM if we are going to persist with 442 and refuse to play Poco and Gamboa. Lescott at LB ahead of Poco is frankly pathetic and has damaged TP's reputation amongst quite a few of our fans. RE: WBA vs Tottenham - Match Thread - betterthanbaird - 31-01-2015 Didn't play that badly and the ref was an odious human being. Shouldn't be conceding 3 against them even if the 3rd wasn't a penalty. Wisdom got embarrassed for the 2nd but I reckon most others would have too, could Foster have done better? They're better than us so I can't be arsed to talk about our players too much. Berahino and Anichebe were handfuls but we needed to finish better (obviously). At least take Sess off the bench. Other than the Lescott left-back joke I thought no one played particularly badly (even Lescott wasn't awful) At least one winger and a striker are needed. Some full-backs would be nice since some aren't fancied. RE: WBA vs Tottenham - Match Thread - Slick_Footwork - 31-01-2015 Glad I didn't pay the £40 to go up today. To be fair, there's a lot of mediocrity in the Prem - but sometimes you just have to say that you got beat by the better side and that's what happened today. That said, it wasn't a 3-0 game... Lloris made a few world class saves, plus we hit the bar. The penalty was unfortunate and the refereeing inconsistency was annoying. They get the free kick pulled back after Dembele had blazed over, yet when Mozza was fouled on the edge by Rose, we get nothing... We need reinforcements for sure, but there's a lot of worse sides than Spurs and we're not going to have bad day at the office every week. I don't agree with all of Pulis' decisions, such as Lescott at left back, but I think he's identified we need more presence in the air in both boxes, so at least you can make some logic of them. The good news is, apart from Sunderland who played Burnley at home. None of the sides have made any ground on us. I'd hope Arsenal have enough to beat Villa too. |
