RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Beefy 1965 - 05-08-2019 Maupay off the list then Joined our Dan at Brighton !! RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - WBA-Josh - 05-08-2019 (05-08-2019, 21:09)Worldclassalbion Wrote: I went to Berlin 3 weeks ago and it’s by far the worst city I’ve ever been. A friend of mine went and says the same thing. Weird how we all have different experiences and takes on things. Yeah it is interesting. I love my history so I personally enjoyed learning about German and Berlin history and of course I also saw Union Berlin play but I can understand why Berlin isn’t for some people’s liking. After all it’s not your typical German city, it’s very cosmopolitan so you don’t get the same feeling that Munich and Nürnberg give off. I think Ajeti is the better bet for us because he has a bit of everything in his game and he should cost less than Maupay has cost Brighton. RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Salopbaggie - 06-08-2019 So 54 hours (at time of post) left until the Summer transfer window slams shut. I think SB was being just a little conservative when stating we only need 4 more players. But even if we just use that number that means we have to sign a player every 13.5 hours until the window closes. That is still an achievable target but I do wish they would get on with it, I have been here far to many times before to have the faith and trust I once had, after all its not like they have let us down before is it ?? I have the awful feeling that we will be discussing final details with club and players, then in the last hour someone like Leeds will come in and offer 'a deal which can not be refused', a la, Lakaku and Everton, leaving us, up poo poo creek without a paddle. RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Beefy 1965 - 06-08-2019 Bid from Basel accepted for Ajeti ... However he wants to wait for West Ham and the premiership, So We do West Ham's scouting for them again !!! Then again best left if he wants to join West Ham, we have actually out bid West Ham for Ajeti so he's playing the waiting game to see if West Ham come back in to outbid us so could rumble on to deadline on Thursday. That said if WBA had bid a week ago this would have been done without the porn merchants poking their noses in !! Update?| #WBA There are reports claiming that FC Basel have accepted an £8M bid from West Brom for Albian Ajeti. However, the 22-year-old apparently has his heart set on Premier League football, with West Ham preparing to put in an offer soon. [Football Insider] https://t.co/zyHcICltRG RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Onetruebaggie - 06-08-2019 Maybe he got West Brom / Ham mixed up, we'll be in the prem this time next year if he joins us COYB RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Northwalesbaggie - 06-08-2019 (06-08-2019, 15:01)Beefy 1965 Wrote: Bid from Basel accepted for Ajeti ... Beefy, I'd rather not have him at the Shrine. Either he want's to play for us or not. If not then s*d off Ajeti. I want players like Brunty et al who are loyal & committed. SB could spend the Mullah on DG coming back. At least we know how well he would fit into the Club, rather than the Swiss Cheese (yuck!!). RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - WBA-Josh - 06-08-2019 If it is true then we need to look elsewhere. If Ajeti wants to take the risk and wait for West Ham to bid then that’s up to him. If West Ham don’t come in for him then he’ll be forced to stay at Basel. Hopefully we will have kept ourselves 1 step ahead of the game during the past couple of weeks and had an alternative or two lined up in case the Ajeti move fails. There is obviously Gayle who would score us 25 goals next season with the service of Krovinovic, Sawyers and Edwards and I’m sure there are others that we’re looking at. RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Salopbaggie - 06-08-2019 One from the left wing, apparently Wayne Rooney is looking to return to the UK in a player/coach role after netting 25 in 41 for DC United. He is allegedly talking to Derby at present. Would he be any use to us? RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - drewks - 06-08-2019 .... not sure Rooney ever played left wing, Salop RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - 5th August - Salopbaggie - 06-08-2019 (06-08-2019, 15:01)Beefy 1965 Wrote: Bid from Basel accepted for Ajeti ... West Ham have an offer in of £4.5 mil, are they really likely to almost double that offer? Can not blame the lad for wanting the Premiership, 'if' it is on offer and of course his wages will be a third more than the in Championship. Reading the source info the Football Insider article was based on, is seems to be someone on twitter called 'exWHUemployee'. So who knows how reliable the story is, knowing West Sham of old though there probably is some truth in it.. |
