RE: RIFC - supercooper - 14-01-2015 No surprise there then! RE: RIFC - Fredstersafool - 15-01-2015 Notice lodged for possible mortgage of ibrox and Murray park to sports direct, thoughts on this one folks RE: RIFC - Larry-AV - 15-01-2015 This is what Fred has mentioned. Skysports - Mike Ashley plans to take out security on Ibrox Stadium Do I like this ... No. However, ask yourself, if you were lending money to someone, would you not want security ? It is normal business practice, but this could have been avoided if the board and/or major shareholders had put the interests of the Football Club ahead of their personal interests and accepted Robert Sarver's investment !!! RE: RIFC - Fredstersafool - 15-01-2015 It's the fact the board have continually said they WOULD never use ibrox Murray park as security there promise to you the fans. RE: RIFC - Trusevich - 15-01-2015 (15-01-2015, 15:45)Larry-AV Wrote: This is what Fred has mentioned. Absolutely agree, Larry. Funds are a necessity and this is a way to achieve significant funding for the immediate to mid-term future. At this point of course, no loan against the stadium has been accepted, so we will just have to wait and see. £10M in the door now would take us well into next season on it's own, never mind next season's revenue. Personally, I don't see the problem in using assets to secure funding. It's ludicrous that we didn't do this earlier in fact. The fan's groups that are now calling for demonstrations and legal action need to wind their brass f*cking necks in, yet again. An awful lot of their scaremongering could be destroyed by a simple statement from Mike Ashley outlining his plans for the club. The longer they are allowed to let their imaginations run wild, the more they will do exactly that. Sarver would still easily be my preferred option, but it looks like that simply won't be allowed to happen right now. Brian Kennedy offers some level-headed insight, for once: Daily Retard Wrote:Brian Kennedy urges Mike Ashley to guarantee Ibrox for sole use of Rangers as Newcastle owner seeks security over stadium ---------------------------- Oh, and as an aside, just 10 days to go. RE: RIFC - Fredstersafool - 15-01-2015 10 days for what? RE: RIFC - supercooper - 15-01-2015 Just booked tickets,30 quid for 2 adults and 2 kids. Not too shabby.
