RE: 2016 (31st July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - Worldclassalbion - 10-08-2016 (10-08-2016, 15:43)Beefy 1965 Wrote: I must admit even by Albion's standards this window has been piss poor, Beefy I agree with you again BUT everyone including me need to wake up because there's a simple answer to the fact that we hav'nt signed anyone and its this................ 'who would want to play for Tony Pulis?? and is abysmal approach to how football should be played. That's why we have not signed anyone because no one wants to come and before everyone starts saying 'Oh he's bashing Pulis' You better believe I am. HE IS COMPLETELY USELESS AND IS KILLING OUR CLUB. How can anyone defend him is beyond me. RE: 2016 (31st July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - 4evaabaggie - 10-08-2016 Beefy, the problem with a good starting fixture list is that we have not strengthened probably weakened, our hopes of staying up depend on a good start and I can not see it at the moment. By the time we have signed players the more favourable fixtures will have passed us by ....... leaving us to get points off of the traditional top eight ..... d'oh. Every other team is building we are in trouble ....... I hope something happens soon. Doom and gloom descends. That is exactly what I was saying mate ![]() RE: 2016 (31st July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - 4evaabaggie - 10-08-2016 Beefy, in my clumsy way I was agreeing your point and was hoping to add to it ...... think I failed. I was hoping to have had three or four more decent signings but can not see where there coming from, worldclass may just have a point. New owners same old same old with the transfer window ....... I'm hoping to scrape safety then look towards the new season (2017/18). That's a bad position to be in, isn't it, even before a ball is kicked in anger. Glad I haven't got a swear box other this season could've been expensive. To right and to think ................... We thought last season was bad ![]() RE: 2016 (31st July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - BaggieSteve - 10-08-2016 Every year we wring our hands at the club's close season transfer dealings, say that they are hopeless and couldn't get any worse.....and then the next close they are! It's quite unbelievable; we are three days away from the start of a new season and we have one signing. We are allegedly in discussions to sign other players whom their clubs clearly don't want to sell, meaning that we will end up panic buying at the transfer deadline players such as Enner Valencia, Emmanuel Rivière and Peter Crouch, none of whom will improve the team one jot. How can we get it so f**kin' wrong year after year? Right now, there is no indication that we are attempting to sign some creativity into our midfield, instead we are faffing around looking at a list of defenders and either sub standard strikers or ones who clearly don't want to join us. I have to agree with World Class Albion in that Pulis must be the most unattractive manager to play for, and I'm not talking about his looks. He has a prehistoric view of football, one that is based upon the principle of "as long as you don't lose, nothing else matters". Only problem is that we do lose and when we concede are incapable of retrieving a result. At some point Pulis' record of never being relegated will come to an end and, at that point, his only selling point disappears. Some selling point. RE: 2016 (31st July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - 4evaabaggie - 10-08-2016 Baggiesteve, agree with what you say but it could be worse.......... League cup - Luton 2 Vile 1. Half hour to play. Comedy own goal ....... 3 - 1 and could have been 4. RE: 2016 (31st July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - BaggieSteve - 10-08-2016 (10-08-2016, 22:07)4evaabaggie Wrote: Baggiesteve, agree with what you say but it could be worse.......... Out of interest, when do we play in this? RE: 2016 (31st July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - 4evaabaggie - 10-08-2016 The draw is in about ten minutes or so live on sky sports news. Correction two games have fifteen more minutes of extra time so about twenty minutes. Vile well beaten .... okay in front fell apart when Luton equalised ..... same as last year. Could it be a double dip ...... oh please make it so. A little star trek reference there. RE: 2016 (31st July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - Salopbaggie - 11-08-2016 Does anyone else feel we should be keeping Chester and starting him in the middle? It does not make sense to me, when you pay the highest price in the clubs history for a C.B. A player who has just made more tackles and interceptions than any other player at Euro 2016 against some of the best players from across Europe, that we are not even giving him a shot in the middle. Personally I would like to see Chester and Evans be given a pairing, just to see how it would work. |
