Smith Rowe is welcome back anytime, though I reckon he's going to be earning a bit more corn than he was first time round.

Let's say it could stretch Deano's bank balance a tad.

If Arsenal even breathed the word "loan" in his respect there's at least 10 teams in the Prima Donna League that would take him on full wages + any loan fee in a heartbeat.

Yes but how many of those prima donna teams have got Zoe from Fartown? Tongue  Whistle

My last communication was that they going to "do some digging". I'm hoping that they get dug by the end of the month so I can include him in my July 1st report, which of couse was the first day of the Battle of the Somme.

Do you know if he was in the 17th Middlesex........the football "pals" battalion?

Many English footballers joined this, whereas many Scottish ones were in McCraes .....the 16th Royal Scots, during the Somme.

His Wiki page says he was in but he's not on the list on the Footballers Battalion list.

His name's John Wood. He left us for Aberdeen in 1911. There's not much else on his page.

He's too old to be the John Wood I went to school with. Then again, we long thought he lied about his age. Whistle

RE: Give Us This Day, Our Daily Thread. - Lord Snooty - 24-06-2022

Unless you went to school before 1916 theo....... Whistle
