RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Statesideowl - 09-06-2015 Yep, what can you say about that lol RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Thurnscoe_OWL - 09-06-2015 Just like watching the men's team though ![]() RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Statesideowl - 09-06-2015 England look unlikely to score, kicking the ball out of play when not even under pressure... At least there's equality now in every way ![]() I think I just saw PEI in a yellow rain proof!! RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Maddix - 09-06-2015 Is anyone interested in a Yorkshire (and England if I must) cricket thread on our board ? I know a lot of us don't like to visit other areas anymore ![]() RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Thurnscoe_OWL - 09-06-2015 (09-06-2015, 22:03)Maddix Wrote: Is anyone interested in a Yorkshire (and England if I must) cricket thread on our board ? Put it up. I might get a nose bleed if I leave our site or worse still, a telling off from one of the village idiots ![]() Not that I know much about cricket anyway RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Maddix - 09-06-2015 (09-06-2015, 23:30)Thurnscoe_OWL Wrote:(09-06-2015, 22:03)Maddix Wrote: Is anyone interested in a Yorkshire (and England if I must) cricket thread on our board ? Good God ![]() ![]() RE: Thread For Anything But Football - peiowl - 10-06-2015 France thoroughly deserved to win yesterday. It was a wet windy afternoon in Moncton. My son in law and I got a good view of the game from behind the French goal (1st half), surrounded by a bunch of friendly French Canadians. England were playing with the wind at their backs but you'd never have known it. Most of the action was at the other end. Le Sommer scored from a great shot in the 29th minute. From that point on, France never looked like losing the lead. They played as a team, smoothly passing the ball around accurately, whereas the England players looked like a bunch of individuals with no game plan in mind. On the rare occasion that they were able to break out of midfield and attack, it was almost always a lone attacker with no support. Second half was not as one sided, but England didn't threaten. Their best chance was close to the end of the game when they fired a shot across the goal, but nobody there to pop it in. If they play like this, they won't go far. It was good to see a live game though. RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Thurnscoe_OWL - 10-06-2015 From what I saw it was a shit game bossed by Frances cb and decided by a piece of brilliance by that blonde number 9 RE: Thread For Anything But Football - St Charles Owl - 10-06-2015 Next installment of the Stanley Cup finals tonight, with the Lightening leading 2-1. Game 4 is in Chicago, with their home record this season I expect a bounce back performance from the Blackhawks in this one to take it back to Tampa at 2-2. If Chicago win tonight, I expect it to probably go the distance and a game 7 in Tampa. If Tampa win, I cannot see them losing three games on the trot!! Go Hawks!! Looking good now Blackhaws 3 games to 2 could finish it off next game. England looked better too yesterday. The subs made the difference. Kirby the star. Carney & Greenwood played well too. That center forward Aluko had a poor game but they kept feeding the ball to her. A bit like one of our players whose name I'm not allowed to mention. ![]() |
