RE: WBA Xmas/New Year Thread - BBB - 20-12-2014 Take your pick: West Bromwich Albion •West Brom have won just one of their last six Premier League matches (D1, L4). •Their tally of 17 points from 16 games is two more than at this stage last season. •They have only scored three goals in their seven away games this season - the joint fewest in the top flight along with QPR. •After scoring seven goals in his first nine Premier League appearances of the season, Saido Berahino has failed to score in his last seven league games. I've gone for a 1-0 for the Albion Queens Park Rangers •QPR have won three of their last four Premier League matches at Loftus Road, drawing the other, while they have only lost one in seven at home. •They have already scored 14 home league goals this season - one more than they managed in the whole of their last top-flight campaign in 2012-13. •Rangers have conceded the opening goal on 12 occasions in the league this season, twice more than any other side, while they have scored the opening goal just four times. •Charlie Austin has been involved in eight goals in his last eight Premier League appearances (six goals, two assists). BBB RE: WBA Xmas/New Year Thread - Stairs - 20-12-2014 Lescott! 0-1. Could be more already after 10 mins. We need more goals to secure the draw....... RE: WBA Xmas/New Year Thread - WBA-Josh - 20-12-2014 Great second goal ruined by Morrison's stupidity at their corner. Why put your arms around the guy? We need to be careful now. We can't let our great first 20 minutes be for nothing by letting them back in the match. RE: WBA Xmas/New Year Thread - Stairs - 20-12-2014 Well played the ref for awarding the pen. Shame on Morrison for giving it to them. Just imagine the score line in footie matches if all if those were spotted RE: WBA Xmas/New Year Thread - wba_1996 - 20-12-2014 Couple of points at HT: Sessegnon - as I have said all along he is undroppable, what a quality player to have in the hole who can provide a spark, hopefully the fact he finally has players out wide and in front of him to pass to will show his doubters why he should be in the side Varela - this is why we have been crying out for him for months, top quality winger Ideye - some quality movement leading to the second goal, also showing great strength and touch at times, needs a goal but definitely getting more involved today Morrison/penalty - why is it ingrained in our long-term players and club mentality that when we go 2-0 up and are cruising in a game we HAVE to do something stupid and hand the initiative back to the opposition? Thankfully we haven't sat back today but its a crying shame that an awful QPR side are still in this game, should be game over by now. Also: Onouha - Caulker - Dunne - Hill Two of the fastest defenders in the league on one side and two of the slowest on the other, can we move Varela to the right with Sess and bring Saido on as a third right winger? Seriously though, attack and counter them with pace in the second half and this could be 4 or 5. RE: WBA Xmas/New Year Thread - WillieJohnstonsGreenhouse - 20-12-2014 Afternoon all. Firstly, well done Ska'd with your booky wooky, remember you mentioning it but didn't realise it was to arrive so soon. Had a quick 'look inside' on Amazon, on my shopping list matey and can't wait. (also didn't know you were a published author - but not surprised) good luck with it!!!!! (any calls from Hollywood? - be an interesting cast list) Thought we did well first half. Some crisp passing and good movement ruined (as said) by stupidity. Mozza looks off the pace to me. Deserved lead but need to sharpen up to get those essential 3 pts. A must win game imo. Second half kicking off.... BAGGGGGGIIIIIEEEEEEES RE: WBA Xmas/New Year Thread - wba_1996 - 20-12-2014 Oh FFS RE: WBA Xmas/New Year Thread - WillieJohnstonsGreenhouse - 20-12-2014 Bowlox RE: WBA Xmas/New Year Thread - Stairs - 20-12-2014 Lucky not to be 3-2 down. Why can't we hold onto a lead? Charlie Austin is their only threat and we can't keep him quiet. Ridiculous. We need a 3 goal lead to feel there is a chance of winning! RE: WBA Xmas/New Year Thread - WillieJohnstonsGreenhouse - 20-12-2014 Come on Albion - still creating chances Also never a pen |
