Same shite with the same outcome.

I have lots of patience but now it is wearing thin. We have gone back in time to the 2011/2012 season up until we beat Wolves. No invention going forward and the same stale, basic tactics in every match. The only difference is the formation.

Changes are now critical but it isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Since the Mowbray era, we've maintained a decent style of play, but Irvine is
sucking every last drop of entertainment out of the team.

What's worse is, aren't tough enough to grind out a result.

Irvine's tactics seem to be pretty simple - the most negative, defence minded XI
and hope you score off a set play.

He doesn't allow any midfielders to get between the lines.

How on earth can Brunt and Dorrans still be playing after the recent run of form?
I've been a fan of Brunt over the years, but has hasn't done it this season, as for
Dorrans - I just don't think he's a Prem player.

Varela still can't make the bench. Blanco can't make the bench. Brunt would probably
get selected in front of Samaras if he was on crutches, despite the fact that the latter
actually is two footed and has the ability to beat a man.

Irvine has Sessengon playing when he doesn't allow anyone to go forward and join him
and then, when we need a goal and players have to get forward, he takes Sessegnon off.

The guy simply hasn't got a clue, his selection, tactics, subs - everything is wrong.

He doesn't even try to entertain us.

I really hope the board take action before it's too late. The best squad we've had in years,
a top half squad, but we will get relegated with this clown in charge, I'm sure of that.

54 minutes before we have a shot. At home. I have been patient with Irvine but this has to be the most sterile football I've had to endure in 40 plus years. We've certainly had worse teams but at least they usually showed some interest in attacking. Blanco is dropped from the squad after 1 poor match yet Dorrans has been poor since the Burnley game. Varela showed more creativity in 10 minutes against Hull than Brunt has shown all season. Very angry tonight and I hope that Peace takes action before it's too late. I will be going to the West Ham game but I don't know why.

No Varela in the squad  Thumb down

Tbf, with Gamboa and Varela in for Wisdom and Dorrans that would be my first choice XI. Unfortunately the two players missing are the ones who actually offer us pace and width, so its still a crap lineup  Confused

I'm off out, not going to be happy if I come back and we've lost due to the same old defensive but not actually any good at defending rubbish  Angry

Irvine out Rolleyes

Sideways and backwards is not why I pay good money for a season ticket.
I have had enough of this rubbish.

Its not an over-exaggeration to say I would take any manager/head coach in the top 2 divisions ahead of Mr. Negative.

We wouldn't sign an Everton academy player to start in our first team, so why the hell have we signed their academy coach to manage us?

Chris Waddle nails it:
"Yes West Brom want to pass the ball but they have nobody running forward apart from Saido Berahino. They are very easy to play against, they just keep passing the ball sideways or behind. You want them to go on and attack a player, take somebody on - that is what the fans want to see. They look scared."

Eddie Howe (Bournemouth) Thumb up

Why oh why? for 80 minutes woeful, in fact i groaned 78 times re the side to side passes, and the last 10 minutes exciting - so why we have more like it -- i must admit i'm beginning to wonder about Irvine.

If by New year we aren't above 15th then >>> bye bye

Lose the next 2 and the fur will fly.

Re. Wisdom. Thought he had a pretty decent game today.
