RE: The Owls v The Dingles SBC Match Thread - OvalOwl - 10-08-2019 Come on Miwwwaaawww! 1-1 at The Hawthorns.... Tale of two Robins.... Charlton 3-1 Bristol equalise at Brum. Us and Charlton on 6 points... us top on GD Billy Blunt equalises. Bah!! RE: The Owls v The Dingles SBC Match Thread - St Charles Owl - 10-08-2019 Sharpe will score goals at any level if he gets service!! I'm surprised they didn't start him today. 28,028 there, good crowd. Stateside get the ![]() Get in!!! 2 wins from 2 games, great start. Very good second half performance, much better from us and no coincidence that we saw a lot more from the Kieran Lee of old in that second half. Borner looks solid, as does Odubajo. Worth saying that Palmer had a good game as well, good defending and good support down the wing. Murphy and Harris caused them problems all game and they will be key for us this season. RE: The Owls v The Dingles SBC Match Thread - OvalOwl - 10-08-2019 Colin wins in Fergie time. Ref played till they won. RE: The Owls v The Dingles SBC Match Thread - Washington - 10-08-2019 Early days but we look so improved with the extra pace. What a bargain Harris is and I thought Kieran Lee looked his old self too. Hope we can keep this up and get even better as the new players become more integrated. RE: The Owls v The Dingles SBC Match Thread - St Charles Owl - 10-08-2019 We looked a bit lost without Bannan in the first half, we relied on the wingers and their pace, which worked to a degree but we could keep hold of the ball. In the second half Lee took on that midfield role we used to see from him and he had a very good second half!!! Reach was disappointing again today, and I would be inclined to maybe drop him when Bannan is back. RE: The Owls v The Dingles SBC Match Thread - Imre varadi - 10-08-2019 Fantastic result ..top of the xxxx pops again ! Is this a parralel universe ? Agreed with Charlie and was before this game thinking that reach no longer fits unless we can use him as left back ? He's shite infront of goal which when you're playing a front 3 is pointless ! And he hardly fits the midfield 3 either ! I really see Reach as a wingback, but we needed to sign Hector to be able to play that formation. Both wingers deserve to keep their places so Reach might stay in only if Bannan is not back, even then I expect Luongo to challenge as well. Its the same for Forestieri, where does he fit in with this line up? He only works with a front 2 for me and I can't see us using a front two and two wingers!! RE: The Owls v The Dingles SBC Match Thread - Owlkev71 - 10-08-2019 Deserved win today, Harris & Murphy both played well, Lee looking like his old self. We are top of the league. Iorfa and Westwood available next week too. RE: The Owls v The Dingles SBC Match Thread - Imre varadi - 10-08-2019 Millwall isn't going to be easy and we will have to be careful they don't take Harris out i.e cripple him ! I'd like to think fessi will get his first start and give them something else to deal with ! It might also help the cause if we put 3 center backs in the formation with the new lad Bates getting his first start ! This is going to be a game were we will have to go for 3 ugly points ! RE: The Owls v The Dingles SBC Match Thread - Imre varadi - 11-08-2019 It must be a parralel universe I woke up too today ... statesider and Wednesday top of the pops ! Long may it continue !!!! |
