RE: Salford City - Dancingwilldoit - 13-08-2018 No wonder they don't get big crowds. Come 5-00pm half of them are still queuing RE: Salford City - spireitematt - 13-08-2018 http://salfordcityfcfans.proboards.com/thread/2013/chesterfield-away-support RE: Salford City - SaltergateBorn - 13-08-2018 I really can`t argue with any of the comments made on the Salford forum by their lot. It does seem daft, when you know that the visiting team are going to bring more support than you`ve given them tickets for, to make part of the ground all-ticket and the rest pay-on-the gate. It should be obvious what`s going to happen; I`m doing it myself and it sounds as though a lot of others will be as well. Better get there early, I guess. Please, please let our idiots - and we all know we have a few - not cause trouble and drag our name even further through the brown and nasty. RE: Salford City - Dancingwilldoit - 14-08-2018 Ebbsfleet complimented our fans and there was no trouble anywhere. Don't see why Salford should be any different, its not as though they are fierce enough rivals for the knuckle draggers to crawl out of the woodwork. One man and his dog isn't exactly worth the petrol money for them. RE: Salford City - SaltergateBorn - 14-08-2018 I didn`t know about that feedback from Ebbsfleet, but it`s good to hear. To be fair though, I think this is a slightly different situation. Because of the TV series Salford have got a far higher profile than Ebbsfleet at the moment; it`s also the nearest thing we have to a local derby this season. That might give one or two of our boneheaded brethren a reason to get it into what passes for their minds to cause a bit of trouble - especially in the absence of any segregation in most of the ground and after an intake of alcohol. You may be right, Dancing, and their may be no trouble at all. I hope you are. It just concerns me slightly. Whatever does or doesn`t happen, I still can`t quite get my head around the logic of this `part all-ticket` set-up in these circumstances. It doesn`t seem to me to make any sort of sense. I would say that FC Halifax would be our Derby. Salford is a pain to get to because the ground is more nearer Prestwich than Salford. It's about 3 miles from Manchester Piccadilly and only way to get there is by driving or get the train and then walk to Chorlton Street and get the bus going out towards Bury and get off at Bury New Road. When Salford played Stockport and Darlo there fans went in the home end because they didn't get enough tickets. Stockport fan I know told me that Salford gave them 500 tickets when they played them. RE: Salford City - Dancingwilldoit - 14-08-2018 More worrying is that orient fans said there were only 5 portaloos at the away end. Now 5 into 1300 just doesn't equate when you get to my age with prostate iss ues. RE: Salford City - Devongone - 14-08-2018 Now prostate iss ues ma ybe worrying but they caN be poe try. Genius Dancing. RE: Salford City - SaltergateBorn - 14-08-2018 Bloody hell!! Sod the hooligans. Now that IS worrying! I think you've got to hope no one has a curry before the game. |
