Maybe being able to afford Koeman is not just about his own salary?? He will want his own staff as well and then there is the transfer budget he would be given. I'm not sure that your board are going to be prepared to spend the sort of money on players and wages that he might be looking for, especially as he is the one candidate who would likely want a clear out of the current playing staff. RE: Tony Pulis sacked - Baggievicar - 21-11-2017 I can't quite see Koeman coming to the shrine. A lot of his problems this year seem to have hinged on Giroud not moving to Goodison - which was a good possibility. Offer a Giroud a move to the Albion and hear him laugh. I don't reckon Koeman will think we're at his level. RE: Tony Pulis sacked - Sir Megson - 21-11-2017 (21-11-2017, 19:53)Baggievicar Wrote: I can't quite see Koeman coming to the shrine. I don't reckon Koeman will think we're at his level. Sadly this is very true. I'd be amazed if we didn't end up with Pardew or Allardyce. Out of the two I'd lean towards Pardew to be honest, spends huge money on wingers wherever he goes, where as we already have them and he'd play them! Money needs investing in Jan on a right back and a Striker as a bare minimum also. I'm just enthused about going to see players played in their actual positions again and not with 8 behind the ball! COYB! Sir Megson is spot on, but what did Pulis do with the £2 million he got from Palace? He can’t have frittered it, he must have bought property or something, a house. He can jolly well sell that again. That is what I meant - we can't afford him. How about Walsall's manager - small journey, little more wages,, or in replacement for some of our dross. ![]() RE: Tony Pulis sacked - bomberbrown1968 - 21-11-2017 (21-11-2017, 21:52)Baggiebob(BBB) Wrote:(21-11-2017, 19:28)St Charles Owl Wrote:(21-11-2017, 13:42)talkSAFT Wrote:(21-11-2017, 13:01)Baggiebob(BBB) Wrote: "..... and i don't know if they can afford Koeman....."
