RE: Huddersfield Town v Tottenham Hotspur - Lord Snooty - 01-10-2017 Lowe and Malone operating together on the left hand side makes perfect sense. Can always bring the Van on later. RE: Huddersfield Town v Tottenham Hotspur - Terrier1987cas - 01-10-2017 Spurs are probably the best team I've seen live. Christian Eriksen is probably the best player I've seen live. That said, our first half performance was incredibly naive & it's something we need to learn from. Schindler in particular was woeful in the first 45, & that says something given how good he's been thus far. Second half better, but Spurs had took their foot off the gas by then. Don't judge us against the top 6, judge us against the other 14. RE: Huddersfield Town v Tottenham Hotspur - theo_luddite - 01-10-2017 If you'd said Zanka I'd have agreed with you. Having said that, even when we are down and things look a bit tough, we can always rely on L666s to put a smile back on our faces. ![]() RE: Huddersfield Town v Tottenham Hotspur - Lord Snooty - 01-10-2017 (01-10-2017, 19:58)Terrier1987cas Wrote: Spurs are probably the best team I've seen live. Still thought he was our best player. ![]() RE: Huddersfield Town v Tottenham Hotspur - jjamez - 01-10-2017 Apparently Tottenham's one season wonder chant was about kane and not us RE: Huddersfield Town v Tottenham Hotspur - Lord Snooty - 01-10-2017 (01-10-2017, 21:02)jjamez Wrote: Apparently Tottenham's one season wonder chant was about kane and not us Yes. Apparently the other year when he couldn't score in the August following the previous season when he'd bagged a shit load of goals, the great British media labelled him a one season wonder. It was like having Calamity Clarke back at times - he kept steaming out to win balls he didn't need to win, then found himself out of position and they looked to pick us off. In particular he seemed to keep coming out to Alli - that might have been the instructions he was given but it just meant they went around him and then we're a man light at the back. Also the ease with which Kane breezed around him for their second was shocking. He's still our POTY by a distance so far, but it was a bit of a reality check. Unfortunately with Town their seem to be some players who are immune to criticism and some who get nothing but criticism. Example: VLP beats a man and puts a cross straight into the stand = get him off and sell him Kachunga beats a man and puts a cross straight into the stand = great workrate, unlucky RE: Huddersfield Town v Tottenham Hotspur - WakeyTerrier - 02-10-2017 We can pick fault for every goal but at the end of the day Spurs were a class above us and with plenty still left in the tank. We move on to a far more important game at Swansea in 2 weeks, I'll take a point now RE: Huddersfield Town v Tottenham Hotspur - Lord Snooty - 02-10-2017 Yes, Cas. I thought exactly the same with VLP and Kachumbawumba. Somebody said on Twitter the other day that he's the modern day equivalent of David Cowling. Well that's not quite right cos Cowling could cross the ball and find a man. But he did take a lot of unwarranted stick. VLP is just the latest in a long line of scapegoats we've had at Town. It'll always be the same. Why would Spurs fans make up a chant just for us? ![]() RE: Huddersfield Town v Tottenham Hotspur - WakeyTerrier - 02-10-2017 What is a "wan season wander" anyway? ![]() ![]() |
