RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - talkSAFT - 09-09-2017 We haven't even got Brunty to lay one on from a corner. Am I mistaken or haven't I heard Phillips' name yet. RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - Slick_Footwork - 09-09-2017 Shocking first half, balance of the team is all wrong. Rodriguez never a midfielder. Okay, he adds another goal threat from that side, like he did against Stoke, but he can't beat anybody in open play. He looked miles better down the middle on the opening day. Nyom looks far more uncomfortable at left back than right back, which we've seen time and time again. I appreciate he was probably the best player against Stoke so Pulis didn't want to drop him, but he's useless there. Terrible cock up from Nyom for the goal, first completely misjudges the flight of the ball, but then is slow as hell on the turn when it's on the deck. Also thought Krychowiak should've got the block in as well. I appreciate he's probably not at the peak of fitness but you've gotta bust your balls to get a block in there. Rondon is having an absolute nightmare. Couldn't see a simple lay off if it was staring him in the face. In fact it has been a few times. Nyom, even before the cock up for the goal was having a nightmare. Can't seem to get his body position right to collect balls when he's playing on that side. Rondon and Nyom need to make way for Gibbs/Brunt and Burke. Rodriguez to move up top and we might actually hold the ball up a bit. Burke to bring some pace from midfield. RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - talkSAFT - 09-09-2017 I'm pissed off. Can't get a stream, and now we're 2-0 down. Who'd have thought that that 8-man defence could be conceding 2 goals to the team who haven't f'cking scored b4 today. What shite. RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - aries22 - 09-09-2017 Pathetic. Next goal is critical. RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - WBA-Josh - 09-09-2017 3-0 now. Pathetic. RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - Zinman - 09-09-2017 What's the excuse this week? Another window gone, millions spent and we still set out to try to get a point. 3 defensive midfielders, 3 centre halves, a right back at left back......... RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - aries22 - 09-09-2017 That's that. What the xxxx are we playing at? RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - May68 - 09-09-2017 I don't think Pulis can manage a large squad with players for every position. I think you missed the full stop after "manage". RE: Brighton vs WBA - Match Thread - talkSAFT - 09-09-2017 Hoo-hoo. 3-1 now - great stuff for the Away fans (if they're still there). |
