Matt Glennon came up with a good one. Said the under soil heating must be on, cos the Wednesday players keep rolling about on the floor trying to get warm. Laugh

Same old Wendy. They used to be alright back in the day, but now they're just like your Watfords and your Arsenals. Dive dive dive.

I have yet to see an angle or close up shot of the challenge to decide either way, but had that been the other way around I would think it was harsh from what I have seen.  The offside decision is so tight and again no camera angle along the line like a sky game would provide so again those decisions usually go for the attacker.  The fact people are talking about watching it frame by frame and still struggling to tell means the linesman had no chance with one view in real time and under the rules the benefit of doubt always goes to the attacking team.  The foul before the first goal looked like six of one and half a dozen of the other, could have been called either way but the ref was right there and let play continue.

I cannot remember the last time we had the same ref for both games between teams in the same season, strange one that!!

The history books will show ... 2 wins, 6 points 0 goals against, that's all that matters really .. and as for the Wednesday players rolling around , really???, just laughable from opposing fans and don't get any of the Owls fans on here talking about bad decisions, it's usually us when at home that get a crap ref

Same for us, Wereham, and the Premiership refs are the worst!

Keith Stroud for one!

The standard of refs has gone down since Mike Riley took over as the head of refs. I have always been more inclined to give the ref the benefit of the doubt when it comes to most things but the game has bypassed them in terms of speed and in terms of scrutiny with all the cameras there. Ref on the whole do a great job but they are constantly undermined by the hours of video playback of incidents, a technology that they do not get to use or benefit from!! Football has to embrace the technology available to it and the refs need as much real time information and help that they can get with the modern game as it is today. We also need to keep the best refs in the game after they retire from actual reffing, the likes of Keith Hackett need to be used to help the new refs, and apparently that has stopped as well.

My comment was based on the one camera angle we have that is on the half-way line. The lino was looking (or should have been looking) straight across the pitch and had no excuse for not seeing it was offside in real time. Unless of course - he doesn't understand the Offside Law and somehow that really wouldn't surprise me.

It was a blatant foul in the build up to their first, not met a sensible Wednesday fan who thinks different.
I can see why he's given the red - Payne reacts to their lads challenge and it's rash. Hence us not appealing.
Their second is offside but when seen in real speed it's a difficult one to call.
Wednesday were dire in the first half and we were still creating clear cut chances with 10 men. They're getting lucky more than most teams, eventually that will stop and they'll have to start actually playing well.
They've spent millions upon millions, before wages, and have accumulated a ridiculous squad. Massive plus for us that we seem much more together on the pitch and off it.

You're still alive, Cas? Wink
