Was he with Kevin or on his own?

RE: January transfer gossip - theo_luddite - 06-01-2017

Well it appears he was on his own. Now officially signed on loan but announced after the presser.

William Boyle permanent transfer to Cheltenham. Another one who hasn't made it through the Academy to first team.

No major surprise here.
PAUREVIC RETURNS TO RUSSIA

Huddersfield midfielder Ivan Paurevic has left the club by mutual consent and will return to Russian side FC Ufa.

Paurevic, 25, joined Huddersfield in the summer when he signed a three-year deal, but has struggled to force his way into the starting line-up. The Croatian has made just two substitute appearances and will sign a permanent deal with FC Ufa.

Apparently we've had a million pound bid for Danny Ward turned down. No not the goalie, the overweight lad we palmed off to Rotherham a couple of years ago.
Hmmmm! Huh

RE: January transfer gossip - jjamez - 11-01-2017

He's not overweight anymore! But do we really want him? I'm meaning as fans, I for one could understand why we would go for him, but I feel that it reflects badly on both parties if he was to come back.

Reflects bad on us because it has taken us giving him the shove for him to lose weight and start performing, shows how poor some of the coaching was before Waggers. Also it looks bad that we get rid one year and the next year we see him as being good enough. If he was out on loan and recalled by us I could understand, but to let go on a free and pay 1mil to get him back...must be better out there?

It reflects bad on him that it has taken this to happen to him, for him to actually knuckle down and focus on his fitness and actual ability, rather than taking it as a God given right to be successful at any level

RE: January transfer gossip - SHEP_HTAFC - 11-01-2017

And who's to say that he would fit in with Wagners training regime.
The lad was lazy and overweight....meaning he probably did the least he could on the training pitch.
Under Herr Wagner, he wouldn't get away with that.
He's had a decent first half of the season, let's see what he's done at the end of the season to see if we still want him.
And let's face it, if we ever get to the promised land (stop dreaming Shep), then he will not be good enough anyway.....but maybe he is being chased so that we can get there?

RE: January transfer gossip - jjamez - 11-01-2017

Maybe our interest in him is just to get other teams bidding, hence us getting a financial windfall?
