Sorry but that would have been extremely harsh. It was a free kick outside the box at best as gray was covering it.

No way the handball wasnae deliberate he rolls it clearly in the direction he wants it to go.... first off he stops the ball rolling away from him, then drags the ball in the opposite direction with his hand. muir had a perfectly good view.

i actually thought the ref was doing ok up to that point and then he lost the plot entirely.

It's all about interpretation. You're assuming the other defender would cover but the lad would have been in good shooting distance after two steps.  I've seen sendings off in the same situation. It was a definite foul and a decent case for a sending off - which would have changed the game entirely early on.  Even a yellow card to the defender would have limited his behaviour and enabled pressure upon him.

As for the direction the ball rolled...its got to roll somewhere, that it rolls in an advantageous direction doesn't mean it was intentional. In no way does it. He didn't even look at the ball as he rose - but maybe he used his spidersense. Houston was adamant that penalty in your only victory over them this season - the solitary goal that separates you - was an error so all square.

Anyway, well done Falkirk for keeping their neversaydie attitude and extending their excellent record against you. Their tails will be up for Friday.

You would have been raging if it had been against rangers. No more need be said on the matter.

As for houston...well he has had plenty to say about officials this season. Looks like its paying off now.

Falkirks excellent record = 0 wins from 5 Laugh Laugh  Soon to be 6. Watch houstons excema flaked heid explode on friday.

Agree Worthing, the ref also bottled the decision against Stevenson in the first half.......red card / yellow card , inside box / outside box ??????......easier to wave play on!   Doh

Think we are up against it now for the second leg on their cr*p pitch  .

Still, got to keep fighting and believing till the end....which in all possibility will be Friday.   Sick   cannot see us getting any 50 . 50 decisions with Thomson in charge.

GGTTH

Not Thomson again exeterhibby!! Thumb down  I agree, game over - we've been issued with one of the biggest Scottish ref morons of them all and his historical record against us speaks for itself - he has haunted us for years!! I'm glad I'm not travelling through for this return game - I can't wear watching a Thomson officiated match any more TBF!! Thumb down Reflecting back to the PO matches so far, we've had some real weak numpties like Clancy and Muir already! Now we're landed with this clown again! Nae chance I'm afraid unless Hibs somehow create a miraculous performance and everything goes our way. Also we won't get a pk, even a stonewall pk, from this hated Hearts supporting c### - just study his damning historical stats against Hibs that cover well over 12 years of bias!

Nonsense. That's the whole point in football - directly involved fans aren't the ones who have to make the decisions.  The fact I'd be raging doesn't mean that it is a penalty - it just means that I'd be claiming one.

Just as I'd have been raging at the lack of action when Baird was tackled.

Hibernians record: 1 win from 5 and that by a dubious penalty.  One goal.  I think we are more likely to see old botox face Stubbs greeting into the camera again.

That must be why your so good at it. The SFA should hire you to ref from an motorway service internet cafe.

"Hibernians record: 1 win from 5 and that by a dubious penalty."

How would you know it was dubious? Houston thinks every pk awarded against his side is dubious.
