It's all well blaming the board for Celtic lowering their standard of player, but they are still spending millions. Deila is no victim! Managers like Paatelainen and Mcnamara maybe as they were thrown under the bus by thompson. Deila is just a shit manager out of his depth. The fact his Celtic side is toiling in the league is testament to him.

Yup - we both argued at the time of van dijks transfer that he was a good player and would do just fine in the EPL. Forster is possibly the best of the english goalies too. Replacing those centre backs and keeper was always going to be a toughie and i think this season has proved that. Gordon has certainly not been as good this season.

I'm not a fan of Deila but he should've won the treble for Celtic last season - very, very unlucky not to do so. Therefore what suddenly made him a very bad manager? His better players are returning from injury and some of his Jan signings look decent and the season has not ended yet. IMO he'll still be there after a testy season by Celtic's standards and could end up being better for it!

He has the strongest squad in Scotland at his disposal, yet he is toiling domestically. Shown up by very average european sides, time and again. He even got 2 cracks of the champs league and proceeded to xxxx that up . Celtic should have that league wrapped up by now. Under Deila the team has gone backwards.

He has a lotta slack to win the Scottish Premiership and he knows it! I'd say he and his players will re-group and gradually build confidence to finish the season positively. It's curious that such a misfiring Hoops' team (a team in transition?) is still top of the SP at this stage of the season albeit a close run affair so far but IMO not for much longer.

He has been atrocious in europe no doubt,but i wouldn't say he is 'toiling' in scotland. He did a double last year and is favourite to do another i would reckon. The big decision for their board comes in the summer where they decide to 'stick' or 'twist' on letting him have another crack at europe.
I don't particularly rate him or warburton though. Neither would be anywhere near those jobs not so long ago.

Yep! Both jobs are there to either earn the respect in the ample time that has been given to them or eventually they will be removed and there will be no gripes as their contract periods have been enough to prove how good they are.
