It's the preseason optimism (that I currently have) which this year may be much more warranted than in the past 15 years.

I'm still ignoring these friendly game results and will give it the old 'after 10 proper games' status before getting too excited or depressed.
I think DC's intent for success in 2 years (or less) is very real and was just badly advised on making the opener such a high category match. The number of options for other later games may make 'ticketgate' much less of an issue. If I was still over there I'd definitely be using the membership scheme if I couldn't afford a ST.
Got to give credit to a chairman/owner who stands on conference ground terraces watching friendlies and gets out of his car at York to let drunken 'massives' take selfies with him. Also, the club were really quick to step in with treats for the young lad who got trapped under a ride in Skegness.

This league is tough and a marathon not a sprint as Derby found out in the last third of the season so we need to be patient and just hope suave CC has the nounce and motivation to turn most of those last season draws into wins this one.

Exciting times ahead I believe.
