From my seat in the stand there was shock all round at the sending off.

We'd have battered hearts all day today if we hadn't been reduced to ten and even then we missed a couple of decent chances.

The difference between McCoist and McCall was made obvious when Jig went off - we came out really well organsised for and half, made it really difficult for them and broke really well. See Nicky Clark put I'm a superb shift.

Whole team played really well - even Mohsni when he came on.

Great week for my boy: 3 games, 3 victories, 12 for and 3 against.

If a competant manager had been at ibrox its evident we wouldn't have dropped the points we did. Next season will show how good a hearts side are.

I certainly believe we'd have won more points under a better manager so who knows how things might have panned out. Even with McCoist in charge it could yet have gone for us but for one lunging tackle. After opening a gap in the first few weeks one thing that was mentioned a lot was how the Hearts players would cope under pressure, but we gave them the easiest of rides so they never had to find out. But if we'd kept 11 men on the pitch in the game at Tynecastle in November in which we were well on top, we could've taken the points and closed the gap to 3. Instead Smith got himself sent off, we lost the match, the gap jumped from 6 to 9 and the league was all but over. It was our squad that crumbled at that point and we didn't start to recover until the new year.

I'm not saying McCoist would have turned into a managerial genius overnight if we'd won that game, but our play had been improving from the opening of the season and if our players had managed to retain their self-belief I think we'd have won more points than we did in the weeks that followed. If there was one moment of the season that everything turned on, for me Smith's red card was it.

He had 2 seasons in which he got away with murder it was plain to see McCall has achieved in a month.

As soon as we came up against full time sides in a regular basis the wheels came off.

McCall is in the mould of Walter - he's on the sidelines urging, cajoling and directing. Pointing at the players: move a couple of feet to the left or right etc. I've no memory of McCoist doing that this season. He just seemed to stand there in the huff.

You think it may have been a case of McCoist thinking it will just come because we are rangers??
