I wouldn't worry about a 'long term future' under TP.
I think that it's inevitable that TP and JP will clash at some time in the future probably over available funds for transfers.
I see TP walking out when this happens just as he did at Palace.
BaggieMan - just enjoy the fact that we are probably going to have another season in the Premier League and 'just maybe' with the pressure off, then next season we can start to play some attractive football both home and away.
I await the next transfer period with great interest and not a little trepidation.

Berahino and Brown Ideye are hardly Peter Crouch are they.
For a Stoke team that prides itself on nice football under Hughes it seemed strange that at times our one touch slick football was all over them.... Hoof & flick ons from Crouch aside Stoke didn't bother us.

I agree with everything you say Baggieman, except 'I do fear for our long term future' cos i think we'll always scrape enough points to stay up - good football or not.

We are helped, of course, by the gap between the Champ and the Prem widening. This means, from here on, there will always be at least 3 struggling teams in the prem.
Look at Lesta and all the gob they were giving it at the start of the season and they romped away with the Championship.
Also, it's looking likely that we will have the BCD back again next year.

I don't think the performances have been that bad at all. West Ham at home was probably the best
we've been for a couple of years. I thought we were excellent against Stoke and very good against
Southampton and Swansea.
And the bulk of that side are the same bunch of players that IMO gave the worst home performances
I've seen in many years against Everton and Newcastle in Irvine's time. We were pitiful.
The transformation is astonishing with the bulk of the same players.
Away from home there's a problem for sure. We don't have the speed and incisiveness to play such
a defensive style and pose much threat on the break. I guess that's something that will be worked on
in the summer.
There's a stigma with Pulis that is causing a lot of people to be negative, despite great results with
very mediocre players. When Hodgson played Reid and Ridgewell at full back, who were essentially
just defenders, nobody really moaned or even noticed. But because it's Pulis, people are moaning
despite the results.
If Pulis starts buying a bunch of plodders who can't play, then I will moan. Because I hate watching
people who can't play. But I can't get my head around people who are moaning about this before it's
happened (and might never happen).

Subs: Rose, Wisdom, Davidson, Pocognoli, Mulumbu, Nabi, Anichebe.
It looks like a 4-1-4-1 shape with Baird as the holding midfielder behind Morrison and Fletcher. Gardner and Sessegnon are out wide with Lescott at left back.
McAuley wrongly sent off because of mistaken identify. Baird to left back with Lescott in central defence.
