Mason interview after the match is all about we have so many injured or out sick and he could not play substitutions as team is running on fumes.
He also said, and he was right, we had chances in the second half, and did it take them and so can’t expect to win games if not clinical.

I can’t see much more than one or two loans in January as we are cash strapped as well as talent free.

It needs an ‘anti football’ approach or new ma to ensure we don’t start next season in Division One.

Past 6 games 4 lost only Oxford have a worse record

Appreciate there’s scepticism about xG, but apparently we have conceded 5.6 goals more than expected this year, the worst in the league (Wildsmith twice as bad per match compared to Griffiths). Also underperforming at the other end (2.7 down - Price and Diakite worst offenders). On expected points, we “should” be 6th - only Southampton and Blues underperforming more.

Stats obviously say nothing about the lack of substitutions, lack of energy, Diakite’s inability to pass before the goal (after a good tackle in fairness), countless other errors, and refereeing errors. So Mason might say he’s unlucky, but if anything is consistent, it’s underperformance

We are now the out and out leaders in the EFL for the number of defeats on new years day, before today's matches we were tied with Preston on 29, and with great panache we managed to fail again in spectacular style or lack of....

Anyone else think you should have had a penalty for Chowdury’s push in Heggebo?

Half time 1-1.

I think it's a lot better than what we've been seeing recently, not that the bar has been particularly high. Mulumby coming in for the woeful Diakite makes a big difference.

Personally, I thought Leicester's goal was a goalkeeping error (yet again). For me, Griffiths should've just come and collected it, it was a 70/30 in his favour and he was too tentative rooted to his line. If you look at where James beats him to the ball, it's on the edge of the 6 yard box ffs.

Let's see what the second half brings...
